My kids have been going to this center since we moved to Texas almost 5yrs ago! Discovery Schoolhouse has become more like a family than a daycare. One of the big differences about this center is the longevity of staff. A lot of other centers have huge employee turnover and that can disrupt our little loves with their need for consistency in their schedules. During the school year my kids are there for after care and they have so much fun. Mr Logan takes a special care into education with his lesson plans in the DC senior class. He’s helped my child immensely with his learning disability. During the summer my kids would rather go to camp than stay home. They are engaged, taught lessons, go on trips and have lots of fun on splash days. I would recommend Discovery Schoolhouse 10/10!!!

My son started attending at the age of 2 and he was non verbal. They allowed his speech therapist to visit with him there on his days of therapy. Here we are now with my son turning 6 years old in a few weeks. He has a huge vocabulary and very vocal now. The curriculum at Discovery is AMAZING!!! He started kindergarten this year so he is only going before and after school. I ask him “what did you learn today?” He tells me nothing he already knew everything. The first parent teacher conference with his kindergarten teacher I was told he was bored because he was advanced. The teachers make learning fun and family and friends were so amazed on his math and reading skills. I know my son loves it when he hugs his teachers and tells them he loves them! There are days when he tells me not to pick him up early because he enjoys doing the after school activities. We have been with Discovery Schoolhouse for over 3 years now and still very pleased with them.

Our toddler has flourished since going to Discovery this year. He was non-verbal and awkward around other peers but now he’s speaking short sentences and expressing needs and feelings. He also has severe food allergies to commonly found ingredients that requires an EPI pen, but the staff is EXTREMELY careful with all of his meals without making him feel excluded from meal time with his classmates. My son is excited to go to school every weekday and feels loved by his teachers. They have classroom cameras which allow parents to check in on activities throughout their day but I feel at ease whenever I drop him off for the day. All in all, I consider this to be the perfect place to get your child started in their learning journey. They teach them substance in a place that is clean, warm, caring and with a big sense of community.

Let me tell you about Discovery Schoolhouse. Coming from experience of working at a preschool, you will hardly see the owners/directors at the school. But at DSH, they are always there! You probably can’t get them to go home lol. We appreciate Ms. Christie and Ms. Vicki for treating us with respect and like family. If you are looking for a really good school, give DSH a chance first. I’m so glad we found them when our son was young. He has attended since he was old enough to and he’s grown so much and I’m so proud of him and happy to say he’s learned most of the things he knows at school. The best part about it is you can also view your child on camera 24/7 365 days. I learned after awhile you trust the teachers so much you stop checking them. We love Ms. Christine, she is the perfect teacher for the toddler room - someone who has lots of patience and years of experience. Lastly, the owners are very understanding, if you communicate with them. Stop my Discovery and see exactly what I’m talking about, the best in Katy, my opinion. 😁👍

I cannot say enough nice things about this school! I was so anxious about sending my 6 week old to daycare, but the teachers and staff at Discovery Schoolhouse loved my son and treated him like family. He was always happy and well cared for. The teachers are professional and loving, and keep the rooms clean and tidy. My baby loved his teachers, and so did I! They do a great job keeping track of his meals, naps, and diaper changes on the app, and send pictures frequently. Discovery Daycare is the best I could ask for!
