What Parents Say
Lil Red Barn Academy receives mixed reviews. Most parents praise the caring staff, strong teacher-child relationships, organization, and children's development progress. However, some parents report serious concerns including staffing instability, unreported injuries, unprofessional management conduct, and aggressive dismissal policies.
If I could give this day care zero stars I would. The staff is always changing. They are always short staffed ask you you to not bring your kids in if you are going to school or are state pay without much notice at all. When state inspection was happening Daniel looked like she was going to cry and was so nervous you could feel the energy. They stole the change from my pictures I had taken of my daughter. My friends daughter goes there as well and came home with a bite mark through her skin that was not reported to her mom. My daughter has come home with multiple marks that were not reported to me. And just recently they have been sending my daughter home with her clothes covered in paint and art supplies everyday. Everyday care that my daughter has ever gone to she has done art but does not come home covered in paint glitter glue and markers. When I confronted Danielle about it she was extremely rude and told me that since I'm so unhappy she is letting us go and we'll be canceling us as of tomorrow. She's rude she writes me in all caps like she's yelling at me. Do not trust your children here they are not safe!
They are AMAZING HERE! My son has been going for 2 years and loves it there. As soon as we pull up everytime he jumps out of my car and runs up to the door so excited to be there. The director Danielle has always been amazing and we love teacher Liz, they both have been there the whole time my son has been there and I never wanted to leave with how much my son bonded with them I trusted them so much! Now my son is about to start kindergarten and I am sad we are leaving them! They are so sweet and even get all the kids leaving for kindergarten backpacks with all the school supplies!!! ❤
I have two children here, one in toddlers and one in the pre school room. In the beginning it was hard, my kids struggled, but because it was brand new after being home with mom for years. My kids have adjusted well and do not cry every morning anymore! My son is so proud of himself for using the bathroom at the daycare! My one year old is talking a lot more and loves going to daycare to hang out with her friends.
They wanted to start seperating my twin boys. When I told them it wasn't a good idea, the next morning the manager or whoever she was took me in the kitchen and shut the door. She was extremely hostile. She told me she would keep my twins together but they would have to both be potty trained by the time they turned 3 in order to continue going to this daycare. When I told her that was an unfair expectation for her to make she told be to get my twins and leave while degrading me and my situation and threatening to call CPS. There's more to the story but needless to say I was devastated by the time I left.
They are amazing. Well organized, the director is awesome and the teachers are great. They work with us and my son. They are just a great daycare, I love this place so much.
