Learning Ladders Preschool

LOVE LOVE LOVE Learning Ladders! We are in our third year here with my 2 daughters. Every teacher here loves the kids like their own. My oldest daughter is in kindergarten this year and is way ahead of her class because of how much she learned at Learning Ladders. My other daughter is in VPK this year and is beyond excited to come to school each day. The new director, Kristie, is just amazing and between her and Shelley make this school such an inviting place. The hands on activities and fun seasonal events bring the community and families together in such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Couldn't recommend this preschool enough!!

I don't often write reviews but this is a scary place to take children. The moment you start asking questions about anything they freak out. We have been apart of this school for years and this past year it has gone down hill fast. Playgrounds are open the public while kids are playing near a very busy road.....and a public pumpkin patch. I have seen parents just walking around during the day. Families that have been there a while all know each other but if you are new it is hard to feel included. The pastors are running the school with zero background in education. We donated countless hours and materials and were treated terrible. It is the same people who rave about this school but aren't telling the truth about what is really happening and these kids are too young to communicate. Just because it once was great does not mean it is great today. I would steer clear and trust your gut. There are so many wonderful schools in the area and I would avoid this at all costs.

We’re on our 4th year at Learning Ladders and love this sweet little school so much. My son attended 2’s - VPK and was very prepared, both academically and socially, for kindergarten. Our toddler loves her teachers and always looks forward to going to “school.” Learning Ladders has a friendly, close-knit feel amongst the teachers and parents as well as several sweet traditions, such as spirit weeks, Halloween parade, Thanksgiving feast, and a sock hop in February. Also, having summer camp in June is a huge bonus for our family.

I am beyond impressed by Learning Ladders. The teachers/staff, curriculum, classrooms, school grounds, communication to parents. All around the best of the best. I would recommend this school one million times if I could. Ms. Cindy & Ms. Kelly are wonderful teachers and exactly the type of educators many would want for their own children. We could not be more happy here!

Review Learning ladders used to be the top and unfortunately it’s living in the past. Shelly is still trying to run the school and in turn running families and teachers out. They are not allowing the new directors to make choices! Most communications come from Angie and Shelly who have no background in education. Safety at this school is not a priority or thought. Anyone is allowed on playgrounds even when kids are playing, multiple gates are not locked, ID checks aren’t required. They have an app but not required. They have events open to public in a big open area with no security. It is so easy for children to sneak out or strangers to be on playground. This is terrifying with close access to San Jose! The teachers love the kids and are amazing but the administration/church needs to get itself together to keep kids and teachers safe and happy.
