Everything was great… until it wasn’t. Let me preface by saying Learn & Play did a lot for me and my family. We are going through a very difficult time, and I’m eternally grateful for their kindness! I’m sad it had to end this way; my heart is broken for my son. He loved going to school every single day, and looked forward to his weekly chapel visits. This was my child’s first time in a school/daycare setting. After less than three months of attending, we were told by the Director, they don’t have the right “tools” to help my child succeed, he would no longer be welcome to attend once summer is over. This left me scrambling to find another school for him to attend this fall. As of now, he has no where to go, and may not be able to attend school until next fall because of the short notice we received; registration opened in February for a lot of places, and many have long wait lists. This puts my son at such a disadvantage, as he will now be behind for kindergarten readiness. Beware of Ms. Antonia; one of the preschool teachers! We had a terrible experience with her; she can be nasty. I walked in on her at pickup time raising her voice to my son, which made him cry, and then proceeded to shake her head and show utter disgust towards my child right in front of me, which happened on more than one occasion. She’s unprofessional and her behavior is inappropriate. My son came home from school many times saying “Ms. Antonia doesn’t like me anymore.” “Ms. Antonia isn’t nice to me.” Ms. Sandy and Ms. Kamir on the other hand, are absolutely incredible and wonderful at what they do. I can’t say enough good things about them. Thank you for being so amazing to my little boy. He’s really going to miss you, ladies. He still talks about you everyday! God bless <3

I am grateful every day that we found a spot at Learn & Play, back when our son was an infant. It was so hard to drop him off, but the infant-room teachers were so kind and compassionate that I felt completely secure leaving him in their capable hands. They gave him so much love--and they gave this new mama lots of grace. With each classroom, we have watched our child thrive and grow, learning so much, making friends, and having loads of fun. I'm always amazed by the teachers' creativity and the projects the kids bring home. The rooms are also bright and cheerful with lots of light, and the overall environment is both calm and joyful. The new director, Erika, continues to bring about wonderful changes--more outdoor time, lots of creativity, and excellent communication with parents. My heart is already heavy, knowing that it's our last year, now that our son is in pre-K. I will miss it so much and highly recommend this special place--it's so much more than a school or daycare. It really feels like family.

Enriching daycare full of life, love and learning. This daycare, although small, provides so much more and has far surpassed my expectations. There have been a few hiccups with transitioning of directors, but ever since Erika has arrived, the daycare itself has really outshined others that we had been enrolled in the past. I have noticed a complete turn around in my child as well as the teachers ever since the mantra and curriculum has shifted. My toddler has become so worldly and empathetic in just the short amount of time changes have been made. We have seen her grow so much in just the last 6 months. We are now very content and happy to have enrolled our second child. After so many past negative experiences with other centers, it’s very refreshing to have found our children’s second home. It’s really telling when your child is happy when you drop them off and sad when you have to pick them up to go home.

We enrolled our three children at Learn and Play in September 2025, and I truly cannot recommend this school highly enough to anyone looking for exceptional care for their child. The school and all of the teachers have been absolutely incredible. Erika, the director, is wonderful—so kind, pleasant, and accommodating. Just today, she offered for my children to attend on a day they don’t normally go to make up for a snow day earlier this week. That level of flexibility and thoughtfulness is something we never experienced at the corporate daycare our children previously attended. What I appreciate most is how everyone feels like family and how the staff consistently goes the extra mile. Our children have absolutely thrived here in every way—educationally, spiritually, and emotionally. To Ms. Carly, Ms. Christina, Ms. Kamir, Ms. Sandy, Ms. Michele, Ms. Sara, Ms. Ladell—and even the teachers who aren’t directly in our children’s classrooms but still know and love them—thank you. We are so incredibly grateful for your dedication, care, and genuine love for our kids. Wednesday morning chapel is a highlight of the week for our children. They love gathering together to sing and learn about Jesus. Soccer on Thursdays is another favorite—Coach Shane is a huge hit! Learn and Play has truly been the biggest blessing for our family. We are so thankful to be part of this community.
