What Parents Say
Leaps and Bounds receives predominantly positive feedback with parents praising the staff, owner Mark, communication, and learning environment. However, two serious concerns were raised regarding director behavior toward children and alleged inappropriate physical contact with children.
Leaps and Bounds Academy is hands down one of the very best daycares in Des Moines. Our son was in the one year old room and two year old room before we moved out of town. The teachers are absolutely amazing and so accommodating to any special needs your kiddo may have. The communication is amazing through the bright wheel app, and the management is awesome as well. I can not think of one negative thing to say about this place!
We've had two children go to Leaps and Bounds and both loved it. Leaps and Bounds has top-notch ownership and staff. The owner Mark is great to work with and you can tell he respects his staff and they respect him which creates this loving environment. They care sincerely for your child and treat them like they are their own. I highly recommend Leaps and Bounds.
Our son went there for about 2 weeks, my wife and I decided we are finding a new place after we witnessed the Director of the daycare, Mark screaming at a 3 year old little girl. He seen us and immediately started explaining why as if he knew he was in the wrong. We spoke to him about it and he didn’t see anything wrong with the way he acted. I get that there needs to be some discipline but the way he was yelling at this little girl was unacceptable under any circumstance. Not a person I want around my son all day.
We absolutely love this daycare! My son calls it his school because it really does feel like a school. He’s learned so much and really blossomed since coming here.
Switched my La Petite(horrible place) and my son LOVED it here until he started Pre-K!
