What Parents Say
Reviews for Lancaster YWCA Child Enrichment Center are mixed. While some reviewers praise support services and community programs, others report significant issues with staff communication, behavioral management in after-school programs, and inconsistent service quality.
I had high hopes for the YWCA before and after school program, but unfortunately the experience has been disappointing. There is constant staff turnover, which makes it hard for children to feel safe, supported, or build consistent relationships with caregivers. Much of this seems tied to low pay and lack of support for employees, which directly impacts the quality and stability of the program. There are also ongoing behavioral issues that don’t appear to be effectively managed, creating an environment that can feel chaotic rather than structured. While some staff clearly care and try their best, the overall program suffers from systemic issues that need to be addressed. Until there is better investment in staff wages, training, and behavioral support, it’s difficult to recommend this program
i and my girlfriend were recently cleaning out her closet and had ask the ywca and if we could donate used like brand new womens clothing to help out women in need. They told me no because it has to brand new and take the used clothing to the salvation army or goodwill because they can resale them. Are u kidding me? They should be thankful that we are willing to donate anything at all. I didnt know the ywca waa a for profit business instead of taking care of the people in the community out the kindness of their hearts.
I got in trouble for making a Taylor swift joke against a swifty 10x more than when a third grader called me a MONKEY. They're a 3rd grader, they know morals and racism. She BARELY got a scratch on the wrist whilst I had to make an apology. Another time, a teacher attempted to get me in trouble for walking to a trash can. I don't even know how they even did it honestly. Like it's a trash can, how can I even get in trouble for that?? Sure maybe, just MAYBE it is race against racism, but I know what they don't race against. Bias, they are SO bias. Another story (I'm sorry) We were playing basketball and the girls were allowed to hit the boys (for some reason) and I got fed up. So I mayyy have hit one of them (consider it self defense) and then every staff once they heard the story looked at ME like I was a monster. Not the 3 girls, me. And the crazy thing is it's not every single staff, just some of them. Part of the staff is just tryna make a quick buck going into college. -1000/1000 wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemies. maybe the other locations aren't bad (assuming there are other locations) but certainly not this one Sa rgow kagdeqxhqe (1k shift Caesar cipher)
I think the counseling center moved recently? And there's construction happening at the building, but the girl in the office at the sexual assault counseling center was able to get me in right away. I felt a lot better about coming in after I talked to her on the phone.
I went through a sexual assault. I called, filled out their paperwork, and got no response back. These women should be ashamed they claim to empower women, more like judge women and empower themselves. Shameful organization
