Ladybird Academy Lake Underhill

It was really heartbreaking to see the decline in the infant room and the level of care my son received after being there since he was just 12 weeks old. Marylu was absolutely wonderful to our family, and we were so grateful for her. However, once my son started crawling, things noticeably changed. He was coming home filthy — with dust caked in his neck rolls — which was very concerning. Cleanliness became a major issue. The new director wore shoes into the infant room where babies were actively crawling, and parents were also allowed to walk inside with shoes on. For a space meant for infants, that felt unacceptable. 90 days after starting, my son contracted RSV and we spent a full week in the hospital. During that time, we did not receive a single check-in from Ladybird. Another 90 days after that we dealt with hand, foot, and mouth disease. I understand that illness is common in daycare settings, but the level of cleaning and sanitation did not feel sufficient. The difference became very clear once we switched to another daycare. The improvement was immediate — noticeable even after the first day — and it was significantly more affordable. I truly wish things had stayed the way they were in the beginning, but unfortunately that wasn’t our experience. We left just before turning one.

Ladybird Academy has been such a blessing to my daughters & I! All of the teachers are amazing & are the sweetest! From Belkis to Luz & Claudia as well as Vivianna! My daughters are always so excited to go to Ladybird which makes me feel like I made the best decision to have them attend there. It hasn’t even been a year yet, however they already feel like family! Best teachers hands down such a pleasure talking to them! You can tell they love their job & put their heart into it!

My son has been going here since he was 4 months old, never ever had a problem. Recently they made changes put in a classroom where the teacher does not speak English ( my son knows no spanish) new director, and new rules. Now my kid has been labeled a bad kid coming home crying and calling himself a bad kid, he's 4 and now he thinks he's a bad kid. They forced us to remove him from this school because of the poor knowledge and education that this staff has. Its really sad to see this school that was so good go down the drain.

Ladybird Academy has been such a blessing for our family, especially for our daughter during her Pre-K year. From day one, we felt welcomed, supported, and completely confident in the care and education she received. The curriculum is fun, engaging, and truly enriching—helping her grow socially, emotionally, and academically in ways that have amazed us. But the real superstar? Ms. Liz! She’s pure magic—full of love, energy, and endless patience. Our daughter absolutely adores her, and so do we. Thank you, Ms. Liz, for being the heart of the classroom!

This Ladybird Academy location is truly outstanding. Both of my children have attended, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, not only with the students but also with the parents, creating a positive and nurturing environment. My toddler wakes up excited to go to school every day, which speaks volumes about the experience they provide. One of the things I love most is the ability to check in through the live cameras, offering an extra level of reassurance. They also send pictures and updates throughout the day via the app, keeping me fully informed about my daughter’s activities. She comes home singing new songs and eagerly sharing everything she’s learned, and it’s been wonderful to see her make so many friends. I feel completely at ease dropping her off each day, knowing she’s in such great hands. My son was part of their before-and-after-school program, where they handled his school drop-offs and pickups seamlessly. They were always punctual and prioritized safety, giving me peace of mind. I have never had a single reason to worry. I can’t recommend them highly enough. I’m incredibly grateful to have my children in such a caring and well-run environment, and I constantly find myself singing their praises.
