La Petite Child Care

La Petite has been our son’s daycare provider since he was six months old (the struggle as a first time mom was real! I couldn’t get away from watching the cameras 24/7). It turned out that their staff members became a blessing to our family. From six month (infant classroom teachers) Mrs. Ebony, Mrs. Lucas and Mrs. Brittany who have been consistent with their love and care and have been the caregivers in that classroom since we started, at 1 we went to infant 2 with Mrs. Deidra who was also great with JB and supper supportive in his transition from his beloved Mrs. E & Lucas. What could be better? Infant 2!! When he turned two , our little guy was welcomed to infant 2 by none other than Mrs. Margarita ♥️ who’s love for our children is beyond evident. this wasn’t just a job, this is her passion and it shows! The children ADORE her, to the point that transitioning to 3’s was much tougher, J (our little one) was in love with his Margarita. She became competition to his “mami grandma” (that feud remains 🤣!). He has officially transitioned to 3’s where he has made significant progress in potty training. He now at 3 communicates really well and knows his numbers and letters, up down, under over, heavy, easy, hard, hurt. Feelings etc! He enjoys coming to Mrs. Aliyah, his current teacher, and he enjoys his friends and building towers (tall ones he would say)! Mrs. Teresa who has been there since day one, has been promoted to Director for the center and I couldn’t be more excited to see the growth of the center and the staff we so love. Mrs. Daphne can’t go unrecognized, her genuine love for the kids was always apparent and I am honestly so glad that I never had to deal with the horror stories I have heard about with other daycares. Cheap!? absolutely not, but worth every penny to have the peace of mind that my child is loved and cared for, absolutely!!💯 I don’t know if everyone has had the same experience, our hiccups have been minimal. And for this center we are eternally grateful 🙏🏽

A True Gem in Bowie – La Petite Academy is a Parent’s Dream Come True! I can’t say enough good things about La Petite Academy in Bowie, MD. From the moment we toured the center, my wife and I felt an immediate sense of relief knowing we had finally found the perfect place for our two-year-old son. The number one thing that sold us (and continues to give us daily peace of mind) is the brightwheel app with live video streaming. Being able to pull up the camera feed at any moment during the workday and see exactly what my little boy is doing is priceless. Whether he’s building with blocks, laughing with friends during circle time, or napping peacefully, I never have to wonder “how is he doing right now?” The cameras are positioned thoughtfully throughout the classrooms and playground, and the staff is completely transparent and comfortable with parents watching. That level of openness speaks volumes about how safe and well-run the center truly is. Safety is clearly a top priority here. The facility is always spotless, entry is secure with keypad access, and the teachers are warm yet vigilant. Drop-off and pick-up feel calm and organized, never chaotic. Beyond the incredible peace of mind, what really sets La Petite Academy apart is how beautifully they foster social and emotional growth. My once-shy little guy now waves goodbye and has learned to use his words in ways we never expected at this age. The teachers intentionally plan activities that teach kindness, cooperation, and confidence—things you hope for but don’t always see in daycare settings. Watching him blossom socially while knowing he’s in such a secure environment has been the best gift we could ask for. The curriculum is engaging, the staff is loving and professional, and the parent communication is outstanding. If you’re looking for a childcare center in Bowie that combines top-notch safety, real-time video reassurance, and an environment where your child will truly thrive socially and emotionally, look no further than La Petite Academy. We feel so fortunate to have found them!

I can’t say enough good things about La Petite. My oldest started there in the fall of 2018, and we’ve had at least one child enrolled ever since. Over the years, we’ve experienced every classroom, and my oldest still looks forward to coming back for summer camp. The staff is truly incredible. It’s not easy to hand your child over to someone else’s care, but these women go above and beyond. They genuinely care about the kids and make each day engaging with music, dancing, lessons, crafts, outdoor play, and sensory activities. More importantly, they’ve shown so much kindness and patience through all the tough phases (clingy drop-offs, fighting naps, and picky eating). They’ve also been amazing teammates, helping us with potty training and other big milestones. For example, when my oldest was nervous about moving up to a new classroom, Ms. Daphne (the Director) created a personalized transition plan to help him feel comfortable. We’ve been so lucky to have the team at La Petite as part of our village over the years.

I can’t say enough positive things about La Petite in Bowie. Ms Daphne and Ms Theresa are the admin leaders of the school and lead with thoughtfulness and kindness. The old saying goes, “Everything rises and falls on leadership.” I think Ms Daphne’s positivity and kindness set the whole tone for the school/daycare. She is present, thoughtful, kind, and caring. I toured many schools and based on data and intuition picked this one and have been very happy. She has been gracious and understanding with scheduling. A fun fact is the school goes hard for holidays- there is always a beautiful event and celebration for the kids on all holidays. I’m talking big festivals including the family- it’s good vibes. Thank you, La Petite for helping build our village of support.

LaPetit Academy has been a fantastic experience for my children. The staff are genuinely caring and create a supportive and stimulating environment that my kids look forward to every day. I’m impressed by the range of activities and the focus on both education and fun, which makes it clear they’re dedicated to the children's development and happiness.
