La Petite Academy in Layton was our first daycare experience for our daughter. She had spent her first year and a half of life at home with me and I was very nervous sending her somewhere new and having to trust people I didn't know. This was the best possible outcome. The teachers went above and beyond to give my daughter extra attention and love when I would drop her off and she was sad. She warmed up to everyone quickly and truly grew and came out of her shell while in their care. The updates through the app about meals, diaper changes and nap times were very reassuring. They also have a live camera that can only be accessed through the app when your child is checked in, and it brought me a lot of peace of mind being able to check in on her anytime I wanted to. The facility was clean and well organized. Tracy, the director, was so helpful and understanding. She is kind and patient and involved. The staff here is amazing, from top to bottom. I will forever appreciate our experience at La Petite. I highly recommend them!
Called and asked for immediate availability for an infant, was told yes they have a few spots open. Received a call the next day to confirm the appointment and was again guaranteed there are multiple spots open. Show up to the tour appointment to be told there isn't any openings till the end of February. The lack of communication and the way the director couldn't call to correct the information knowing why i was coming, because she had all my information and what I was looking for, is a poor way to run a business.
I feel so blessed we found this place for our boys - the teachers are incredible and set up weekly lesson plans and are so engaging with the kids all day. I really feel they are safe and loved here.
Love the teachers here! But my baby was sick non stop while he was at this daycare and it started the day he started there. He had a ton of sicknesses starting with pneumonia then influenza A then Covid then rhino virus and bronchitis at the same time then the last two weeks he got influenza B. I think they can improve on their cleaning and sanitizing. Every time he got better and went back he was sick with something new the same week back.
The school and the teachers are great. Director is always there to answer my questions and listen my concerns. When we just started it was hard for my toddler to adjust. So they made sure he had easy transition and worked with him and with our schedule. My son loves to go there now and loves his teacher "Ms. Funny" (Ms. Tiffany) and I know my son loved there and safe.
