DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE — PLEASE READ This is the worst daycare experience I’ve ever had. Years ago, I was warned about La Petite due to a tragic case involving a friend’s child being molested by a teacher at another location. So, when I was referred to this specific center by a family member, I was hesitant. But I was reassured that the director had been there for years and that it would be a positive experience. That was far from the truth. From day one, the director was cold, rude, and unprofessional. Her energy was off even during the enrollment process, but I pushed forward because my 3-year-old daughter, a cancer survivor, needed consistent care. Huge mistake. • My daughter came home hungry, often. • She developed rashes due to what I believe was a lack of proper diaper changes. • There was constant staff turnover, which created instability. • I witnessed no accountability or urgency when I raised concerns. • The director lacked empathy, and her behavior grew increasingly hostile once I escalated issues to her higher-ups. The last straw? I was told via phone that my daughter’s health records were expired by 21 days and that care would be denied until updated. I was never notified prior. When I asked how this happened, the director rudely said, “That’s not my problem.” After reaching out to her supervisor, I uncovered more policy violations and was promised changes that never came. After threatening to withdraw and take legal action, I finally received the empathy and professionalism that should have been shown all along. This center doesn’t just lack structure — it lacks compassion, accountability, and basic care. Since withdrawing my daughter, two other parents I know have done the same. Please protect your children. Don’t ignore the signs. Don’t accept less than what your child deserves. This is not the place.

We love la petite and all of the staff there. Our son has learned and grown so much in the time he has been there. They made the transition from his last daycare so easy!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about La Petite Academy. My son has been under their care since he was six months old and they have been so sweet, caring and responsible with him. I feel very at ease and happy I found them. They keep me updated throughout the day on their app, which makes me feel close to my baby even when we're not together, and they genuinely care about the kids' safety as well as celebrate their milestones.

One start because I liked a few teachers. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. My son who is currently experiencing delayed growth was horribly disenrolled from their program. Firstly the director gave the word by phone rather meeting with me but when I decided to meet with her and another manager regarding how it all made me feel she denied it being true. Being that my son can’t speak all that well and it frustrates him I did everything possible to get him evaluated which was taking place at the daycare unfortunately now I have to go through a longer process since he’s no longer attending. The director and manager further explained their reasons which was safety for him and others. I’m fair so I understood it was just the way it was done. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. At the end of our meeting the director begin to be condescending and making remarks as if because I mentioned my work life and school life being affected my son is not my priority mean while I’m here defending him. I mention he is my priority but she just started to speak over me.That’s when things with left. I told her she was being rude and left and she followed me still talking. She’s unwelcoming , she talks to you as if she’s scolding you and she’s unprofessional but when called out on it she has an excuse and reason for it all. Oh her only defense is documentation she always result to paperwork. I advise every parent to investigate before signing anything regarding your child’s behavior. It’s not because they care it’s to build a case for when they one day can call you and dismiss them.

LaPetite Preschool Academy on Mark Twain has a special place in my heart. My child originally was at Ladybird Lake Underhill and transferred to LaPetite a little after he turned 4 and it was the best decision I made. Dir. Taquesta & Assist. Dir Carol are the best. They are so good with parents, children and their staff. Although no daycare is perfect they bend backwards to support my child and all of their families there with any need there within reason. The building may be a little older than these modern daycares but they do have a warm family feel that is hard to come by. They appear to have a Montessori style environment where children explore through play and a very comprehensive program to enhance reading skills, math skills, life science, art, and so much more. Sure there were times of misunderstandings but working things out was never a concern. Lead teacher Ms. Claudia, Ms. Mayra, Ms. Jaimie, Ms. Bri and many others have been nothing but so attentive to my child. I feel so blessed my son is in a daycare family now where he is thriving and making many friends. Potential parents I can’t recommend LaPetite Mark Twain any higher than this. Please check them out!!!
