What Parents Say
La Luz Early Childhood Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the school-like structure, educational focus, homemade healthy meals, professional staff, and clean facilities. One parent reported a negative experience involving concerns about teacher behavior, communication issues, and ultimately sudden disenrollment.
I’m writing this review after 3 years of attending this daycare. I’m a foster parent so I have multiple kids in multiple age groups in this daycare. I also have seen many of the daycares around the city. So I’m going to tell you what I LOVE about this daycare. 1. It is ran like a school, and they care about your child’s development, not just keeping them alive. 2. They move up every year just like school and the teachers move with them. 3. The food they feed the babies is homemade and they feed them enough so everyone is full. They have an open kitchen so you can see the kids food being made, and it’s healthy food from Costco, pretty much the same healthy foods I feed them at home. 4. They are very structured, so the babies have a routine and they thrive on it. 5. The teachers are very involved with the kids, in all of my 3 years, I’ve never walked in to kids being ignored or neglected. I’ve never walked in to teacher sitting and gossiping or playing on their phones. It’s always professional and good care. 6. It’s always clean, and well maintained. 7. The administration is friendly and competent. 8. The teachers are wonderful 9. The cook is very talented. 10. My babies LOVE school.
Amazing, Friendly, Approachable, Organized, Terrific! I can not say enough good things about La Luz!!! My kiddo has been with me for the first 3 years of his life, so I was very worried about sending him to preschool. La Luz keeps me from feeling guilty. They helped with his transition and were very patient. Drop offs and pick ups are easy now. I know he is getting HEALTHY meals and snacks which takes off the stress of having to pack him lunch. He is learning so much and I love hearing about his day. The teachers are all so loving and I feel content that my kiddo is with them. I highly recommend sending your little ones to La Luz!
We send our three daughters (4-year-old and 2-year-old twins) to La Luz and love it. The teachers are so caring and actually TEACH the kids, even in the young toddlers classes. La Luz really feels like an extended family to our kids, and I feel very comfortable knowing that they are in a caring, fun, positive environment while I'm working. Also, the food they serve is amazing! Well balanced, healthy, fresh fruits/vegetables, and tasty -- they get meals that I'd be thrilled to eat! We've been very happy with La Luz and highly recommend it to others.
I thought it was a great school until I brought up concerns. The third time I shared my concerns I was told "We feel after much deliberation that it would be best to disenroll EB, effective immediately. There have been some unsolved issues that we cannot meet which makes this student/school relationship extremely difficult to appease." I was searching for resolution for both parts then she emailed me this which also left me in a very tight spot. Daycares in my area have wait lists for 2 years out. Some of the teachers can be very rude when you do bring things to there attention so I did go to higher up she couldn't help. I also have walked in on teachers yelling at kids and twice with my own child which I tried to be understanding and put myself in their shoes that was one of the concerns. Another was heaing my son say teachers were mad at him all the time and calling himself a naughty boy or know one likes him (he is 3 years old) when I would tell him he did a good job on things. Another one was leaving him out on his birthday no pictures or birthday video like they did for other kids in class even belated birthdays for them mind you I did take cupcakes in. Very unprofessional setting or maybe they didn't know how to handle my concerns when it came to my child. So it is best we disenroll because he was there a year and some months and still having a hard drop off almost every morning. Could be a good fit for some but not good for us.
Excellent care! Our son has been going there for about a year and half and we have been extremely happy with the care and management of the center. Joslyn and Ramona have provided kind, compassionate, educational care to our son that has reflected in his behavior at home. Carol and Lisa are excellent managers that always respond quickly to our needs. The center also has it's own chef that makes great food! We really can't say enough good things about this daycare! The only bad this is the waiting list is really long.............
