La Fitness Kids Klub @ Marietta South

Absolutely the worst! When you pay for membership you expect to have access to the amenities you paid for as when sold membership however they will close off the area and tell you that the area is for training session. What’s even worst is how you were directed from the other club to come to this location because they had a sled and the equipment you needed for training for your event. The manager only offered a “I am sorry” and kept moving!! The “manager” never introduced himself or even tried to resolve the matter. What’s amazing is that the next day upon returning they put on display two signs citing the area is “exclusively for personal training clients”! I would think that the “manager” who was doing the PT session btw would’ve stated that it was exclusive area.

I attended the 9:45 step class today as a first-time participant and was really excited going in. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to the instructor’s lack of professionalism. To start, the instructor arrived late to the class because he was working out in the gym. That alone set a poor tone. He then stated that he was canceling the class because he had texted his “regulars” and they were not attending. This was confusing and frustrating, considering there were people physically present and ready to participate. As someone who showed up on time, I found that extremely discouraging. Additionally, he made a comment implying that this was “not a class you can just come and join,” which felt unwelcoming and rude—especially for first-time attendees. At one point, a young woman entered the room to grab a yoga mat and stretch, and the way he told her to leave the room was unnecessarily harsh. There is absolutely a more respectful way to address someone in that situation. While the class itself was just okay, the instructor’s attitude overshadowed the entire experience. Professionalism, respect, and inclusivity matter, especially in a group fitness setting. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning to this class.

Very, very bad. The pool hasn't been working for three months, the bathrooms are out of order, some of the machines are so old I almost fell off the treadmill. The front desk staff has a terrible attitude, and sometimes there's no toilet paper or paper towels. I've been coming to this gym for four years, and the previous staff was much better—friendly and attentive. This place really sucks now. I guess this company should be keeping everything in top condition.

Joined so I could go to their Club Pilates, but did not enjoy the experience at that club compared to other Club Pilates franchises. LA Fitness has made it impossible to terminate my membership. Multiple phone calls and on-site requests have been made. After my most recent request to cancel, they sent me an email confirmation including a statement that they would refund my most recent fee. Not only did I not receive the refund, but they are still billing me. Absolute scam. Avoid at all costs.

It has been over a month that the swimming pool at this LA Fitness location has not been operational. When you pay for a membership—especially one that includes pool access—you reasonably expect to be able to use all advertised amenities. The lack of communication or clear timeline for reopening the pool is frustrating and disappointing. Many members, including myself, rely on the pool for exercise, therapy, or low-impact workouts, and its long-term closure significantly reduces the value of the membership. I hope management addresses this issue soon.
