La Costa Valley Preschool & Kindergarten

We started at LCVPK in 2018 and have since sent all three of our kids and we couldn’t be happier! Of course, they’ve learned their colors, numbers, and how to be great listeners and students, but what really sets this school apart is the incredible care and excellence of the teachers. Every classroom is filled with dedicated, nurturing educators, and Ms. Jackie has become like a second mom to my three boys. The peace of mind I feel each morning when I drop them off is absolutely priceless. All of my kids have loved going to school here and have been very well-prepared for Kindergarten. Jeanne in the front office is always kind and responsive to any questions I’ve had, which makes everything run so smoothly. LCVPK has been such a blessing to our family- warm, welcoming, and truly exceptional in every way!

I can't say enough wonderful things about LCVPK! Both of my girls attended the school from the time they were two until graduation. If you are looking for a rigid, institutional style learning center then this is not the place for you. My husband and I believe the priorities in preschool are fun, safety and learning and you will certainly get those here! The vibe is family oriented, friendly and child focused. The staff is loving and communicative and from stage to stage they are very aware of each child's nuances and needs. You will not be given copious notes at the end of the day about your child and all that they did, but if you inquire or have a concern it is addressed and followed up on in a timely manner. We weathered Covid, and the aftermath, and each step of the way I felt like things were handled in thoughtful and reasonable way. I am lucky to say that our girls left preschool feeling confident, socialized and READY because of the wonderful care and attention they experienced in each classroom at LCVPK. Many of the teachers and staff are certainly family to us and they are very missed!

My son attended Miss Julie’s TK class here last year. She is totally the BEST! We saw such amazing development in my son both socially and academically . He loved going to LCVPK every day. So lucky to have found this school for him. All the staff and teachers here are so good with the kids!

We had our son at LCVP for 2.5 years and he evolved and learned so much! It was a transition for him starting at La Costa but the staff assured me that he would adjust, and he did. The teachers fostered care and warmth, while teaching an enriched curriculum. We also made some wonderful friends that will last well beyond his preschool years. He started kindergarten over a month ago and was well prepared and adapted so well! I give a lot of that credit to LCVP. We’re excited for our second child to attend the preschool :)

Both of my boys (3 years old and 5 ½ years old) attend La Costa Valley Preschool and Kindergarten. My youngest is enrolled in the Caterpillar 2 class (this is his first year) and my oldest is enrolled in Kindergarten (this is his third year). Words cannot express the impact that La Costa Valley has had on my children. Both of my sons have grown so much both academically and emotionally. The social emotional learning environment that La Costa fosters emphasizing the importance of learning through play is like no other. My youngest looks forward to going to school and sings and tells me all about the fascinating things he is learning in Ms. Cindy's class. His speech has gotten clearer and he loves sharing and interacting with his friends. My oldest is in Kindergarten and has Ms. Joan. Ms. Joan is one of the most amazing teachers I have ever met. The small class size, her creativity and time she is able to dedicate to each child has helped my son flourish. His reading and writing surprise me each and every day. I feel confident that he will be more than ready for the 1st grade! I recommend this school to everyone I meet! It is truly a gem!
