If I could give 100 starts, I would. The Coal Mine KinderCare family is so incredibly special. It's easy to find just any place to drop your kiddo off for daycare. It's another thing to find a second home for your little one filled with teachers who actually want to care for and support them. Their communication, passion, and experience shows. Susan and Sammie are doing an amazing job leading the center. Our sons teachers, Janelle, Autumn, Cole, Josh, Kelsey, Sam, Ashley, Danyel, and all of the others deserve a million thanks for the amazing work that they do. Couldn't be happier with our experience. So much love for Coal Mine KC! ❤️

The director Brooke is horrible. We were signed up for this daycare after talking to Susan (who is wonderful) while we were pregnant. After our baby arrived we returned to get some details clarified. I called and set up a time with Brooke. We showed up a few days later and she could not even hide her distaste for us simply based on our appearance. Suddenly, she had three preemies that were not ready to move to the next classroom. But there was no mention of this on the phone a couple days prior. She said maybe the sister location had space for us and left the room to call and check. However, when we followed up with them they had no idea what we were talking about. Brooke treated us drastically different than every other family that passed through for pick up. Needless to say, I did not want her discriminating self anywhere near our baby. We are out the deposit and had to scramble to find care.

We sent both of our girls to the Coal Mine location of Kindercare and we can’t say enough good things about it. Both started in the infant room with Miss Monica and Miss Pat, who are kind, thoughtful and easy to trust. They made the difficult transition of dropping a baby off at daycare so much easier. They also were a great help in the transition period of eating solids. We loved our experience in the 1s and 2s room too. Our daughter learned so much and was also cared for so thoughtfully by all the teachers. We’re sad to have to leave because of a move, but we would suggest Kindercare to anyone in the area!

I had a spot guaranteed and paid for. Reserved it a year ahead of time . The day came for my orientation tour (which they emailed me I needed to come in for since he was starting soon) and they sent me an email saying nevermind - they don’t have a space for him. The process after this was also terrible. They were not apologetic and didn’t seem to care. I vetted many daycares and was looking very early and they pretty much stole that experience from us and left us without childcare last minute . They don’t seem to know when they have space. I would not trust it! Even after they said it was because of another baby joining first (which still wouldn’t make sense because they gave us an official date) then later said that baby isn’t attending but still no space. I noticed one other review like this… also a family of color …

My son has been going to the Coal Mine KinderCare for five plus years now and loves it!!! My son can be a handful and needs some extra care at times, but the staff has always been loving, caring and makes sure he gets the support and care he needs. ALL the staff is great, however even if he won't say so Ms. Susan will always be his favorite, with Ms. Tina a close 2nd, he enjoys the talks on the bus about his school day... He loves the cooking class and the after school activities, and hanging out with the friends he has made. Summer, and other non school days they always make sure he is keep busy and well feed!!! Food is the Key to my son's happiness (as any growing boy) and he would rather eat Breakfast there and at home. I can't say enough how much support they have given me through the years... from three years old to now 10 they have always been there with great care. I highly recommend the Coal Mine KinderCare and we will be sad they day my son is too "old" to attend...
