I’m extremely disappointed with the KinderCare Mission Grove Center. As an African American parent, I feel my child has been unfairly treated — and I’m not the only one. Another Black mother is going through the same thing. The staff constantly calls within an hour of drop-off asking for my 4-year-old to be picked up, as if parents don’t have jobs or responsibilities. When I can’t immediately come, they get an attitude. Are child development classes not a requirement for staff? I also paid for soccer classes that my child wasn’t even allowed to participate in because they insisted he be picked up “immediately.” They constantly complain about my child’s behavior, yet when other children hit him, there are no consequences for them. My son even apologized to Ms. Denise, and she refused to accept it — how is that setting a good example for a preschooler? After paying for a full week of care, I was told my child could no longer return. Will there be a refund for the unused days and soccer fees? The lack of professionalism, empathy, and fairness is unacceptable. I truly hope KinderCare looks into the biased treatment happening at this location.

Mission Grove KinderCare is a fantastic childcare option, offering a nurturing environment where children can thrive. The facility is well-equipped with engaging learning spaces and a safe playground, ensuring a balanced experience for young minds. The staff are dedicated and clearly passionate about providing quality care and education. Parents can feel confident in the care their children receive, making it an excellent choice for families seeking a reliable and supportive childcare solution.

Do not recommend this location for child care. Child came back sick 80 percent of the time. The front desk was not manned at least half the time. The front door was stuck open for like a week combined with a lack of people manning the front desk presented a significant safety issue. Ratio for under 2 is supposed to be 4 to 1 but we dropped of many times where our son would be the 9th or 10th child and still only 2 teachers. Our son got bit several times and in our experience they don't know how to deal with these situations. This led to our son picking up a biting habit in order to defend himself and the teachers just did not do anything to correct the behavior. When asked for more information regarding the altercation, all they would say is that he bit for no reason. However, when we would sit in to observe the class another child would sit on him so he would bite in defense, and that was their idea of "for no reason". His speech teacher observed him trying to solve a puzzle by himself in a corner unattended, he asked for help several times and was ignored until he screamed and threw the puzzle piece, and then he was yelled at for yelling. The director was too scared to say anything to me and would always wait until my wife picked up to say anything bad about him. They just lack the ability to provide the amount of attention a child needs and don't have the proper tools to diffuse situations. The teachers lack basic training to effectively teach children acceptable behaviors, which is compounded by a lack of sufficient staffing.

Love love love this daycare and the workers who care for my daughter ! It is clean and they have very high standards and maintain these standards . I feel very safe to leave my child in their care. They keep my baby busy with fun learning activities and have her on a feeding and sleeping schedule. I also receive updates throughout the day on my child to help ease my mind. Worth every penny .

Our son Auggie loved coming here. The staff was always so friendly and attentive to any questions we had. There were so many educational activities provided and he was always loved and cared for. He misses seeing all his teachers and friends. Thank you Mission Grove Kindercare hoping to see you guys again soon.
