My daughter has been going here for the last four years. The teachers are great. The center director is amazing. She is really kind and works really well with children.
DO NOT SEND YOUR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD HERE!! ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE! If I could leave zero stars I would.... I had 2 of my children enrolled at the Mounds View Kindercare back in 2018. At the time my daughter was 8 and my son was 5. My son has Autism and ADHD and whenever I would drop him off in the mornings (right when they opened for the day) he would really struggle with separating from me. And honestly that should have been a HUGE red flag at the time. I apologize for taking this long to report it however I was not made aware of this abuse until about a few months when my son brought it up in a therapy session. When I would drop my kids off there would be a tall white lady with short brown hair and a black man sitting at a table letting kids come in. I remember once hearing the lady say that the guy was her boyfriend but didn't actually work there, however this creep had access to ANY child that walked through that door. How terrifying...well one day my son really struggled with the good-bye part and eventually I was able to leave and that's when my son said this black guy pulled my 5 year old autistic son into the kitchen area and punched him in the head because he wouldn't stop crying. He said he took him in that area because there wasn't any cameras. I for the life of me do not remember the lady's name but I would DEFINITELY be able to pick her out of a line up. She was the "cook" from what I was told. I honestly fell to the floor and bawled like a baby. How could I have not known about this? How was I JUST now learning about this? How can an employee be allowed to open the doors to anyone to come and join a daycare center filled with innocent children? I trusted my children in their care and they did nothing but emotionally and physically abused my autistic child!! My son has severe emotional distress over this and it's been an extremely though road. I demand to know of that lady is still working and if her boyfriend also still comes in with her in the mornings. If/when I've been given names I will be pressing charges. Yes I've filed a formal complaint with Kindercare directly. No I would never ever ever suggest ANYONE trust this place with their kids. Absolutely disgusting..
Our kid attended this place around 5 weeks for 3 days in a week. First 2 weeks were very good, then we started getting less info through app. Last week he had a problem with another kid. We noticed this at home. He did not want to go to daycare anymore. We informed this issue to them and did not get any progress. Also, we observed that teachers are changing frequently. Last day we went to pick him up. We were told that he was sleeping. When we saw him, he was crying with wet pants. We ended up switching to another place. He is happy now.
My daughter has been enrolled in this center for 3 years and she has learnt a lot during her daycare tenure. We were actually surprised when she started writing, adding and subtracting numbers upto 20. Center director Teresa is very kind, professional, supportive and flexible. We have never had any challenges so far and have been loving seeing our daughter grow every day.
From the first moment I stepped foot in the this Kindercare I was blown away. The staff is so welcoming. My 2 year old son was approached by every teacher in the building. When I initially called they said their center was full, but they would do whatever they could to find room for my son, which really means a lot to me especially since I just moved to the Minneapolis area. To understand my stressful situation and do what they could to erase that problem really speaks volumes for me. Every time I drop off/pick up the teachers at the building reguarly start up a conversation which makes me feel like part of a family instead of a customer.
