Abiding Savior Lutheran Preschool

Abiding Savior Preschool has been the absolute best thing to happen for our little family. We had one parent staying at home to take care of our twins, and the other parent was working out of the home full-time. We signed up our daughters for the Tuesday and Thursday Toddler Room for the 2023-2025 school year, and they attended twice weekly from 9 am until 12 pm. It gave the SAHP a much neeed break the girls some time to socialize and have fun with friends. We were nervous about their first "away from parents" school day, but they pretty immediately felt comfortable and soon started asking to "go to school" every single day because they loved it so, so, so much. They talked about their friends and their teachers every day and I cannot express enough how loved and cared for we know they are. Since Abiding Savior does not have a summer program, we decided to sign them up for another local church preschool program in Mounds View just for the summer. It was.... fine. The girls definitely never asked to go to school at the other program, and they occassionally would say in the mornings "I don't want to go to summer school, I want to go to Ms. Kimmy and Ms. Carmen school instead!" Ms. Kimmy and Ms. Carmen are the Toddler teachers at Abiding Savior. Additionally, the other school seemed to be extra super religious and maybe taught the girls some things that were too big of subjects for 2-3 year olds. While Abiding Savior is in a church, they are teaching the girls age-appropriate stories in a way that make my kids actually like the stories they are sharing. I also appreciate that Abiding Savior is screen-free and doesn't use videos and TV in the classrooms; the other school had screens which they often used, and it was dissappointing to me. Our twins are now 3 and are attending Abiding Savior 5 days per week, 3 hours per day. We plan on sending them there again next year as well before they go off to Kindergarthen. I wish they had a program in the summer, too! Why we love it: - The world's greatest and most caring teachers - LOTS of outdoor playtime every day if the weather isn't dangerously cold. If it's too cold, they have lots of large play toys and do "playground time" in their big community run so the kids can get their wiggles out. - Reasonable tuition - Programs for Halloween & Christmas - The kids dressed up an put on little songs and dances for the parents to attend and see their kids. - Daily photo updates of 10+ photos and 3-4 sentences per kid - Lots of art work - MY GIRLS ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT AND BEG TO GO TO SCHOOL all the time, including on weekends or sometimes randomly in the afternoons. WE LOVE THIS SCHOOL SO, SO MUCH - It is such a hidden gem with the world's absolute best preschool teachers who genuinely love our kids with kidness and compassion and so much goodness in their hearts.

We love Abiding Savior Preschool! We’re grateful it’s right here in our neighborhood, but even more grateful for the teachers who love our kiddo so well and the friends he is making too. It’s been such a joy to see him grow by leaps and bounds this year!

We love the programs at Abiding Savior preschool! I am on my third child through the program, and have had great experiences every time. My oldest left for kindergarten and was very well prepared to join the rest of his peers. I currently have a child doing her second round of the preschool program and a child in his first year of the toddler program. My preschooler has learned so much in the past 2 years, and went through her kindergarten screening and passed with flying colors.

Both our girls attended abiding and loved it! I highly recommend.
