Absolutely the best daycare in Lawrence! All 3 of my kids go there, and have gone there since they were infants (we have used them for the last 5 years). I am planning on having my 4th child go there after they are born. All the teachers are so great and care about the kids. 10/10, best daycare!!
I’m sorry to see the reviews of bad experiences here, as we haven’t had anything like that occur during our time here. My son has gone here since he turned 1, and he’s 4 soon. He asks to see the staff daily. They have been wonderful. Not to mention, my son is special needs and their patience is great, on top of their excitement for his milestones right alongside my excitement. We love them and will be sad to not see them daily when he starts school.
If you are looking for a place to take your child , do yourself a favor and keep scrolling and bypass Lawrence Childhood Development Center. I thought this was a pretty decent establishment until today when I experienced the most unprofessional ghetto encounter ever. My 2 1/2 year old ended up in the E.R. today end result she needed two staples to close a gash up in the back of her head. Allow me to start from the beginning, first and foremost my daughter supposedly fell off a rocking horse backwards inside the classroom and because she wore knockerballs on her head it caused her to gash her head open. I was not notified by the daycare AT ALL. I was at school testing for my finals when my little sister called me in a panic telling me she was contacted by the daycare and was taking my daughter to the E.R. I left immediately to meet my sister with my daughter, while on my way I contacted the daycare and asked why wasn’t I notified as they had my number, the assistant director confirmed they had my number apologized to me that I was not contacted and then I hung up. At the hospital I saw my daughter had a nosebleed so I contacted the daycare again and spoke with the director Teresa about it she immediately become irate, raising her voice, telling me I’m accusing her and her staff of my daughter nosebleed (negating the fact that whatever happens to my daughter while in her care she is very much responsible as that is why and what I pay for services for) . She yelled for 3 minutes before I hung up she told me she has VIDEO FOOTAGE, arguing with me that my daughter nose was not in fact bleeding while in her care. So I called her back requesting too see said footage, she again became irate asking me why I don’t believe what she say and became outright belligerent cause I wanted to see what happen to my daughter as I was not there nor was I contacted I wanted to get down to the bottom of what really happened to my daughter. So fast forward my daughter received 2 staples and I left the hospital to go to the daycare and view the footage. Here’s where it get interesting , she shows me footage of my daughter in her office AFTER THE FALL, when I confronted her about seeing the footage of the fall she told me it happened outside and she died f have cameras but PRIOR TO ME COMING SHE SAID IT HAPPENED INSIDE. I dropped my daughter immediately. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS DAYCARE. THE DIRECTOR IS HOSTILE AND ALL AHE CARES ABOUT IS GETTING PAID NOT THE WELFARE OF YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN. They will cover any and/or everything up. Don’t be fooled by the prices check the ratings.
Our 3 year old daughter was only here for about a month and came home with marks on 2 separate occasions and couldn't get any sort of explanation as to what happened. Was told 3 different stories about their cameras. First was they just stopped working that day. Second was the cameras were just suddenly "wiped" that day. Third was a teacher saying the cameras haven't been working for quite some time. The first 2 stories came from the owner and the third came from a teacher there. DO. NOT. SEND. YOUR. CHILDREN. HERE. These people only care about getting paid. I truly hope this place gets shut down and the owners be banned from the daycare industry indefinitely. This place is a dump and majority of the 5 star reviews are from employees and the owners. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
So about 2 years ago my daughter 1 at the time. Was physically and mentally abused by her teacher. Charges were pressed and the state found her guilty. But NONE of the management would even let me have pics of her that they had taken after the incident. They wouldn't respond or call me. They covered it up! They didn't want to hand over video footage to the state. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!
