What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise this KinderCare location for its warm, welcoming environment and highly dedicated staff. Leadership, particularly directors Isabel and Julie, receives special recognition for their hands-on involvement and responsiveness to parent concerns. Children show strong social, emotional, and academic growth, with parents noting their kids transition well and are happy to attend.
My husband and I can’t say enough good things about this daycare! From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we had found a special place. The environment is warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The staff was incredibly caring, professional, and attentive to the students in the classroom. What truly sets this daycare apart are the directors. Their leadership, dedication, and hands on involvement create a supportive atmosphere for both the children and the parents. They go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and that every child is safe. Isabel and Julie are always on top of things and there if you have any concerns or questions. They’re always helping out everyone in many different ways! Our children have grown so much socially, emotionally, and academically since starting here. The communication with parents is excellent, the activities are great, and the entire team truly feels like an extended family. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful place. I highly recommend to any family or parent looking for exceptional care and leadership to enroll here!
I have so many good things to say about this location. I was not happy with my old childcare center, but I am pleased with this one. My kids cried the first few days so I was nervous, but now they are happy to go to school and see their teachers,
Ever since Ms Isabelle has come to this location it has drastically changed!! She is one of the best teachers and people I’ve met. She advocates for the kids and makes sure to treat them as if they were her own. She’s always there with questions or concerns I have, and never stops with the kids. Plus all the kids love her!!
I am extremely disappointed with KinderCare on Oak Park Avenue. The facility has a persistent weird smell and lacks proper cleaning standards. They claim to operate from 6 AM to 6 PM, but when I drop my son off in the morning, I often see about 10 children with only 1-2 staff members struggling to manage. It’s chaotic, with children crying and insufficient supervision. They’ve also been mixing my son with big kids in the morning due to a lack of staff. This is deeply concerning as these toddlers, and even teachers, walk with shoes on the same floor where my baby is learning to crawl. The hygiene practices are appalling, and it’s unacceptable to allow such unsanitary conditions. The center has also been inconsistent with their send-home policies, overriding a doctor’s note on more than one occasion. Once, they undressed my son at the front desk to check for signs of hand-foot-mouth disease, despite a doctor’s note clearly stating there was no such issue. This lack of professionalism and disregard for medical advice is deeply concerning. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. As parents, we entrust daycare centers with the well-being of our children, and KinderCare on Oak Park Avenue has failed miserably to meet even the basic standards of care.
I have twin boys who attend this location. Have been for maybe six months, if not a little longer. When the kids are in attendance, the staff is great, the service is great. But that's when they're in attendance. Over the last month, the facility had to shut down a number of times due to sewage and staffing issues. There has also been a wave of sicknesses that rock the rooms, and takes our kids down. We pay a premium for premium services, but we don't get to take advantage of the money we're spending due to either the facility shutting down unexpectedly or our kids catching whatever the flavor of the week is there, whether covid, RSV, hand-foot-mouth, you name it. For example, we've paid this week of care yet the kids have only been inside the facility for one full day. Not to mention my wife had to walk through standing sewage to pick the kids up when they had a plumbing issue.
