Kids World NW Firehouse has experienced a significant decline in quality following a change in management. While some parents praise the affordable rates and caring staff under previous leadership, numerous recent reviews cite severe staffing shortages leading to frequent classroom closures, early pickups, and last-minute cancellations. My baby loved her infant teachers when they showed up! Unfortunately this center has staffing issues and they could not provide care consistently, closing early, capping classrooms and turning kids away. I was forced to find new care as this center was asking us weekly to find “alternative care”. When we found a new permanent “alternative” child care solution to help their staffing issues they still forced us to pay for 2 weeks of childcare services they already could not provide. We are private pay and do not get state assistance they definitely take advantage of paying families here and do not care about their livelihoods at all.
When my grand child started here they promised that they have back up staff for call outs. The two months she was there they capped classes 7 times and made her parents pick up early because they had to close due to staff shortages at least 4 other times. When my daughter had to find permanent alternate care because her and her husband jobs were in jeopardy from all the closures that they wouldn’t even work with them with the two week notice. Even after my grandchild moved daycares we still get the notices that the classes have to be capped and it happened another time this week.
Don’t count on the staff to actually show up to watch your children that are enrolled to attend. And when you’re forced to find a new daycare due to your job being on the line and loss wages from constant lack of care they will still charge you 2 weeks for childcare services they already could not provide on a weekly basis.
My grandson has been attending Kids World since. He was 2 months old , staff has always been attentive and appropriate, his emotional needs addressed as well as his educational growth- we love the staff . The program is always growing and changing to meet everybody’s needs ! They are involved and they care ! Food is also very good!
If i could give less then 1 star i would. When Rosa worked there i loved it she was on top of EVERYTHING. Now my kids stuff is missing all the time my infants bottles are mixed and 2 went missing my daughter clothes go missing her favorite blanket and comfort toy. My infant has bruises. Etc. Staff don't know anything lie about everything make excuses up. And are super unprofessional there is maybe only 2 staff there that know what they're doing everyone else there is a different story. At this point it's a joke to them they don't care for your kids and my daughter rarely goes out with her coat outside in crappy weather conditions. If you care for the safety of your kids don't take your kids here. The staff that left here I keep in touch with and the stuff they told me that go in house is insane if higher up that's actually way higher up like the owner came he would have fired every single person
