If you want a facility for your children that has a true understanding of and passion for childcare, this is the place! My two year old son had one day at another facility and they told me he was spitting, hitting, kicking, and displaying abnormal first day behavior for a two year old. He’d been home with me up until this time and it was my first day of returning to work. Feeling defeated I called KKOP and spoke with the owner Janine. She reassured me that in her experience his transition was normal and her staff and her welcomed my son to KKOP with open arms. I’ll never be able to express my gratitude in its entirety. They have welcomed us into the KKOP family and care for and nurture my child. He is so happy here and thriving! I know he’s safe and cared for. Thank you again to Miss Janine and her wonderful staff!

I feel so lucky to have a place like this to send my daughter and can't wait until my son can go here (they take kids 17months and up). They are always doing fun creative projects when I pick up my daughter, or playing in their large outdoor area. My daughter who is barely two has come home counting to 15 and can point out A through D in written words. When she and her friend get together, they actually play together (not side by side which they should be doing at this age) and sing songs together to perform for us. The facility is clean (unlike some places that I went to that smelt!), the prices are unbeatable and they are adaptable to my schedule! They charge daily based on my schedule, not paying a weekly rate. They have drop in rates and we don't pay for any holidays that the facility takes (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc). If I pay a four day rate, I can adjust those 4 days to fit my work schedule and not have them set in stone. And this may sound silly, but I never feel judged if I drop off my child in street clothes so I can run errands or have some time for myself (I actually put on my scrubs to drop of my son so I don't feel guilty at his daycare). Everyone working at Kids Kind of Place actually look like they enjoy being there (unlike some other places I checked out). It is a positive environment to have my daughter.

I am new to the area and was looking for childcare for my two year old. I spoke with the owner, Janine over the phone. She sounded very sweet and we set up a time for me to take a look at the facility. When I got there I knew right off the bat that this was the perfect place for my daughter. I told Janine over the phone and again during our tour about my daughter's peanut and egg allergies which require an Epi-Pen. I could tell that it made her nervous, but she explained to me that the entire staff had just been trained on how to administer the Epi-Pen if needed. She did tell me that she wanted to speak with her staff before enrolling my daughter because there were no other attending children with allergies. I told her that I was more than willing to speak with her staff about precautions to take with my daughter and what to look for in the event of an allergic reaction. Unfortunately when I called her back the following week to thank her again for the tour, she informed me that they would not be able to accept my daughter as it would not be fair to the other children. I was disappointed but appreciated her honesty. But the more time that passes the more upset I am.. Bottom line, this is not only discrimination, but illegal. The entire staff was recently trained on administering an Epi-Pen but will not enroll a child that requires one. Kid's Kind of Place is a LICENSED daycare and should be able to provide care to all children. Not to mention, they accept payment through Children's Cabinet which is government funded through tax dollars.. Including mine.. The mother of a child with allerigies, yet I can't enroll her. Very disappointing.

Kids Kind of Place is a great daycare. All the personnel really care for the children. If your child even scrapes a knee, they will let you know. My children have been going there for 3 years with NO issues at all. I highly recommend Kids Kind of Place.
