Kids Kastle Day Care & Preschool

Kids Kastle consistently gets flooded with inquiries, so let me first say you’d be better off with direct referral from a current or past family. That said, if you can get a spot at Michelle’s, you have won the jackpot. Finding quality childcare was significantly more difficult than I could have imagined when we started searching for my eldest. We tried both a facility setting and another in-home setting in Pleasant Hill before finding Michelle through a trusted friend. We knew instantly that she actually cared about our son and she went out of her way to meet him where he was and help him feel confident and comfortable in her care. Fast forward to today, our family has been with Michelle for 4+ years and she is one of the few people I would have trusted with our second baby when he was an infant and I had to go back to work. I never worried a single day knowing my kids were in her care. Kids Kastle has been our village for many years, all of the teachers are sweet, truly enjoy children, and work hard to keep things FUN. They are very knowledgeable and stay current on licensing standards and go above and beyond the guidelines. As a busy mom, I have appreciated that they were consistently on-time and extremely reliable over the years. I didn’t ever have to worry about good quality meals, diapers, or other supplies. The kids always came home covered in paint (meaning they had a blast and played outside a lot!), well fed, with handfuls of projects, and they were both well prepared academically and socially for TK and Kindergarten. Michelle leads with high emotional intelligence, decades of experience in early childhood and unwavering empathy and partnership for all of the ups and downs of raising little ones. She has maintained relationships with families that she cared for many moons ago and I’ve witnessed those same long-term, multi-sibling relationships blossom with other families we’ve known during our time there too. Michelle has become more like a bonus family member for our kids (and us) and my older son still RUNS to give her hugs at every chance he gets even though he is in elementary school now. Thank you Michelle for everything you and your entire team have given our family. Our experience at Kids Kastle was so far beyond anything we could have hoped for.

Kids Kastle Child Care is absolutely amazing. I had not heard of Kids Kastle or Michelle prior to the summer of 2016, when I found her school online. Our son, then about 18 months, had been in a very small in-home daycare which was closing for a two week vacation, so I was seeking a safe place for me to send him as a “drop-in” for a few days while my husband was traveling and I needed to attend meetings for work. Our whole family loved Kids Kastle so much that our son stayed with Cheyenne and Michelle for three full years, and we are all appreciative for the time he was able to spend there. Michelle is more than an owner. She goes above and beyond every day to ensure that your child is comfortable and loved. She is a seasoned caregiver, educator, mother, grandmother, and friend. The school is run with a planned, age-appropriate curriculum for each child, and Michelle and her team focus on projects and play that is fun, yet doubles as an educational opportunity. She is candid about your child’s development, and is knowledgeable and in-sync with each child’s personality and needs. Each morning, whatever she is cooking for lunch, fills the air with scents of homemade goodness and she will often teach utilizing culinary themes and food. We recently moved our son from Kids Kastle to public TK, and it is clear that he gained an advantage through all of his experiences there. The transition has been smooth, as he was very well-prepared for his next step in early childhood education. He has self-confidence to run into class, just as he happily ran into Michelle’s care each day. He certainly started his educational path right, with the respect, confidence, and intelligence he gathered while at Kids Kastle. Kids Kastle will always be a special place for us. I cannot thank Michelle and her team enough for always going the extra mile for our son and keeping him safe (and me worry-free) as we went off to work. I would recommend Michelle's program without reservation to anyone who is considering childcare in the Walnut Creek area.

We absolutely adore Michelle and Kids’ Kastle. Both of our kids were in Michelle’s care since they were under a year and we were at Kids’ Kastle for a total of 5 years. Michelle loves these kids like they are her own and we know we’ll forever be part of the Kids’ Kastle family. Michelle has a true skill in seeing the individuality of each child and tailoring her care to the particular child’s needs. We highly recommend Kids’ Kastle to all of our friends. Our kids still talk about her and she’s still involved in their life even though they have graduated. ❤️

My son was born 3 weeks early which left me in a bind for childcare once my maternity leave was over - I had him enrolled in a daycare with a start date based on my due date! Fortunately I found Kids Kastle on Yelp with all of the glowing reviews. Michelle got back to me extremely quickly and was my childcare angel accepting my son temporarily. He started at Kids Kastle when he was only 4.5 months old and he had never been with another caregiver before other than my husband and me. I was a nervous first time mama! Michelle and her team Berenice and Amanda worked with both my baby and me to ensure everyone was supported and comfortable. I will forever be grateful to Michelle and for the family environment she fosters. Thank you a million times!

We had our 2 kids go to Kids Kastle for almost 3 years. Our kids love Michelle! She is always willing to go the extra mile for our family. The kids always come home with homemade gifts (framed foot/handprints & quotes for Father's/Mother's days and the personalized ornaments for Christmas) for us and I so appreciate it! We highly recommend this school and I cannot say enough how much this school shapes my children's well-being and help them thrive in the best possible way!
