What Parents Say
Kiddie Academy of San Jose receives consistently positive feedback from parents. Parents praise the attentive and educated staff, academic focus, engaging activities, and safe facility. Children reportedly enjoy attending daily and demonstrate excitement about what they learn.
If I could give zero stars I would! The classrooms are filthy, children in attendance seem to always be sick, and the director lacks common people skills. If you are looking for a safe place for your children to thrive in, I strongly advise you to avoid this place like the plague.
If you love your babies Don’t bring them here My two year old attended here and there were multiple times that I witnessed kids being yelled at for crying when their parents would leave in the morning Or a separate occasion where a teacher yelled in a kids face (2 years old) because he told her “no” about sitting elsewhere and she yelled at him right in his face to be respectful . My son picked up the word “shut up” after attending here and as parents we don’t speak to him this way , after seeing or the teachers yell at the kids , I strongly believe he picked up this word here and maybe it’s been used towards them , all 2 year olds. Also when I decided to leave because I noticed the emotional decline in my child , instead of asking me why or what could be done better , the director confronted me in a negative manner saying that I wasted a space that could have been given to someone else . I’m not confrontational so I brushed it off But if I wasted running this place, I definitely wouldn’t tolerate that or her. I strongly recommend taking your babies to a safer environment
This review is in regards to Joseph Mendoza's review. I would like the explain the whole situation as on what happened on 5/27/2022 A gentleman( Joseph Mendoza) came into my office to make a complaint that he heard a staff member making a threatening statement to throw sand in child's face in the play yard. The gentleman mentioned that he heard it outside the play-yard fence while walking and also wanted to make a complaint to Licensing, so I happily shared the number. I immediately afterwards continued with my investigation about the incident and found that our 2 yrs. old class was outside in the play-yard per the schedule. The children happened to throw sand at a spider and also each other, the teacher had seen the incident and tried to control the situation and told the children that “it's a living thing, it has feelings, it has a mommy and a daddy. would you like me to throw sand at you?" the children said no and then they stopped throwing the sand. Incidentally, the gentleman heard partial conversation “Do you want me to throw sand at you?” and decided to bring it to our attention. I am thankful to his concern and wanting to protect the children, we need more people to get involved like him to stop any abuse that may happen in communities. However, glad to share that there was no such situation in our play-yard, we strive to continue to maintain high standard, take care of children also teach them practical life skills. Also, as a learning from this situation, I would continue to coach our staff even more on communication with the children.

The teachers and staff are very attentive to the children. They really do "teach" the kids to prepare them for school age. Their after school care is also wonderful because they focus on academics first by making sure homework is finished before playing. They encourage reading as a fun activity and use creative techniques make it fun for the kids!
