Kiddie Academy Of North Albuquerque

My grandsons are very happy here. The staff is knowledgeable and they are great with communication. They do fun learning and crafts with the kids and genuinely care about their kids. I would highly recommend this daycare to everyone. I personally have experienced terrible daycare centers with my own children and I was very nervous about looking for a place for my grandsons as prior experiences left a bad taste in my mouth. But the girls here, from the directors, teachers, kitchen are ALL wonderful and take their time in getting to know the children and their families. Keep up the great work!!

Our daughter has one of the best times here. They taught and took care of her so well. We were lucky to have kiddie academy so near from our place.

I had high hopes for this daycare when I enrolled my son. Unfortunately, I recently disenrolled him due to safety concerns. My son is 2 years old and has been bitten a documented 32 times at this daycare. It was confirmed there is a child who consistently bites other children in his classroom. I did everything I could to ensure that he would not continue to be bitten. I spoke to management on multiple occasions and mostly was just told that toddlers engage in that behavior and they were working on trying to fix it. At one point, I was informed that the owner said they would finally put a suspension policy in place to get the parents attention if he kept biting. This did not happen. In fact, after that, I was told there was no suspension policy for 2 year olds, just for the 3s. This was in direct contradiction of what I was previously told. After multiple discussions with staff and management, it was apparent that they were unable to keep him from being bitten and, in the end, felt as if they didnt care and pawned it off on "kids being kids." While 1 or 2 bites may occur and may be a normal toddler behavior, 32 is not "kids being kids." Suspension or disenrollment was never even a consideration. While I understand trying to keep a child in daycare, it should not come at the expense of other kids safety. The child was a known biter, thus my son was not the only kid being bitten. They also have one staff member that is super unprofessional, and, on at least one occasion, I saw that the classroom was over ratio. I gave it two stars instead of one because I did think my son had a few great teachers.

We absolutely love this establishment. My daughter is 3.5 years old and has been coming here since she was 8 months. Every teacher has been wonderful and has listened and acted on every concern I have brought to them. The curriculum is wonderful. Her current teacher is Ms. Johanna and she is great. I appreciate that she speaks to the children like people and doesn't baby talk. My daughter can read and write words, knows her vowels, can do addition. She loves going to school everyday. Our family had a tragic event occur and they provided our family with flowers and a gift card. All of the staff, including director and assistant director, are very sweet and empathetic.

My son attended Kiddie Academy of North Albuquerque for a year before Kindergarten. He was well taken care of and was always excited to come to school. They really helped him with his fine motor skills and to become ready for his next level of education!! The teachers and director are amazing! He has never experienced such an amazing level of care previous or after this center!
