What Parents Say
Kenosha YMCA Stocker is a modern, well-maintained facility offering diverse amenities including swimming pools, fitness equipment, classrooms with technology labs, and party spaces. Reviews consistently praise the clean facilities, friendly staff, and variety of activities available, though some operational issues have been noted.
I recently had the opportunity to set up for a birthday party in the party room at the Kenosha YMCA, and I was very impressed! While I didn’t book the event myself, I was there to decorate and help with setup. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the room itself was super clean and spacious—perfect for hosting a celebration. They do only allow access 30 minutes before the party, so be sure to plan accordingly. The setup worked out great: the kids started with swimming and then transitioned to the party room afterward. It seemed like a really fun, well-rounded experience for the guests, and from what I heard, it’s also very reasonably priced for a 2-hour party. All around, a great space to host a birthday celebration in Kenosha! Highly recommend checking it out!
Have been coming here for years and like this place a lot. They have special needs adults in the warm water pool in the mornings and one yelled at a little toddler yesterday and called him some nasty names. Hope this experience hasn’t terrified him of the pool/water. Just a note for other caregivers to be aware if you go here on weekday mornings.
Modern and updated YMCA. They have a number of really cool classrooms, like a 3d printer lab. All of the facilities are comfortable and clean. Large locker room area with individual changing stalls. We came here for a full day swim meet and enjoyed it.
If I would leave the kid club a zero, I would. I received a phone call from them twice when I tried to work out when I dropped off my two years old. They had me to be with my child when he cried, and I answered to my phone call when I was at the kid club but not aware that their policy not allowed phone. I acknowledged that would not happen again and they looked at me with a nasty eye. Two week later, while waiting for my oldest daughter at swimming class I stopped by again for 30 mins to have them wait and play with my presence there. They are asking for safety if my little son could have shoe on which I said he did not want the shoe on, and I was with him to keep him play. I told them I would stay for a couple minute and will go but they said, "you got to go, ma'am". Very rude staff and the way they looked at me like I am trying to steal stuff from them. I would never want to go back here or send any of mine here. Disgusting!
