What Parents Say
Kelly's Kids Learning & Development Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with parents praising the caring staff, clean facility, educational curriculum, and strong communication. One parent switched centers due to concerns about individualized attention, lead teacher compassion, and preference for digital communication tools over paper updates.
Kelly's Kids is an amazing center. They have a loving caring staff, the facility is always clean and inviting and the meals are top notch. Those are the basics, the additional perks are numerous. They keep the staff up to date with relevant training and are a step 4 rating in the 5 step Nebraska Step up to Quality Rating system. That rating is described as "Execdes Quality Standards". They are diligently working towards step 5 and I believe they will make it. They have fun and challenging curriculum, field trips for school aged children and provide parents with timely communication via their Facebook page, email & text. My Granddaughter has attended the center since she was 6 weeks old and now is five. Next year when she's in kindergarten we plan on continuing with Kelly's Kids for school days out and summers and wouldn't want her anywhere else!
We initially thought the daycare was a great fit for our family. We loved the idea of a smaller center where our child could get more individualized attention. In the beginning, we were happy with the care, and our daughter seemed to enjoy her time there. However, we soon realized that the care we were receiving didn't meet the expectations we had for the price we were paying. We became aware that the lead teacher in the infant room wasn't as compassionate toward the babies as we had hoped. Additionally, our favorite teacher left, which was a disappointing change. After much consideration, we decided to move our daughter to a new daycare, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The new center uses the Brightwell app rather than a piece of paper like they use here, the app allows us to see a "play-by-play" of her day, including pictures of the activities and regular updates from the teachers which is a nice change from the paper where we had to assume they were doing what it said and never fully knew what all they were doing with their day. It's been reassuring to have such clear communication and to feel more connected to her daily experiences with the new center. Since making the switch, we've noticed a significant improvement in our daughter's mood and development. She's more engaged, happy, and thriving in the new environment. We're so grateful for the changes we've seen, and it’s clear that the new center’s approach aligns much better with our family's needs. In hindsight, I would recommend doing thorough research and considering other options before settling for this center. While it might work well for some families, it ultimately wasn't the right fit for us.
I love this place and I love all the teachers. They do amazing with teaching all the kids the things they need to go to kindergarten. Not only that but they also so good about telling me what my child does good and what she does wrong. I love knowing that she is safe and happy whare she is during the day. The teachers don't get thanked enough for keeping our children safe and happy. The biggest of thank yous to everyone that works there. WE LOVE YOU ALL!! WE WILL MISS YOU NEXT YEAR!! 💖💖💖💖
When Oakley first started there it was amazing, she was happy, content, all around she was happy. She loved it. She started in December. In the beginning of February 2024 i started noticing marks on my daughter. I had asked different times of what happened and i never got an explanation other than “Maybe she pinched herself” If she were to have done that, Kelly’s Kids is legally required to right an incident report to send home with us parents. Oakley was never sent home with one. This was 3 different times. Everything was amazing until they hired a new teacher in her room. I loved that daycare until the new teacher showed up. She would kiss my daughter even though she was asked to stop because i was uncomfortable with it. They excused it off as she is a grandma and she is sweet and caring. I don’t want this same thing happening to other kids.
We came from a large center where they didn't take our daughters allergies seriously. Kellys has been a life saver and with our second coming we could not think of a better place. All the staff truly care about our daughter. Highly recommend!
