Karter Preparatory Academy is an exceptional school! My son attended for two years (daycare and private Pre-K), and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The staff is amazing, and my son absolutely loved his time there—especially with Dr. O! Not only did he feel safe and supported, but he also learned so much. The curriculum is high-quality, and I was so impressed with the language exposure—he picked up Spanish, French, and even some Swahili! Now that he has transitioned to public school, he is consistently performing above his peers, which is a testament to the strong foundation Karter Preparatory Academy provided. My daughter attended daycare as well as the Pre-K program, when they first opened from Covid-19. The PreK program is PHENOMENAL! My daughter just started Kindergarten and took a placement test for (GKIDS) fall 2023 Assessments and has 100% in all three areas. The knowledge she received during her time in PreK is what she was tested on. She has been placed on the Early Reading Program, and I want to let the staff and Director Dr. Osindele, that I appreciate all that you have done to aid in my daughter's learning. It was definitely worth the investment of placing her in Private PreK.
Our daughter attended her for a few months in late-2022. While the experience began well, several interactions with the owner left led us to abruptly withdraw our daughter. These interactions included the owner aggressively confronting us when we asked how our daughter was doing when she cried for the first time at drop-off. Additionally, the owner blamed us for "ruining" our daughters day because we dropped her off without a pacifier, yet we were not contacted about this concern during the day. We further found it offputting that the school did not allow for parents to drop off their children in the classrooms as drop-off was limited to the front door. This was a COVID policy, yet continued following widespread vaccine availability. We appreciated the concern for public health, but were uncomfortable not being able to speak with her teacher and see the classroom. In response to the owners reply below, the owner's rudeness led to our decision to not discuss the issue directly.
