My daughter has been going to Joan's since we arrived here last year. She loves the teachers and her friends. Joanie is great with the kids and the staff. All the teachers seem to enjoy their jobs and the children. I have and do recommend Joan's Preschool to anyone. They are military family friendly!
My son started full time at Joan's at 19 months (in 2015) he is now 4 years old and LOVES school and his teachers! My other son who is now in Kindergarten went when he was 3 & 4 (2014), and asks to go back! I can't express how much my boys love it at Joan's Preschool!!!! We've had no issues. Any concerns we had, we talked with Joan and she was more than willing to make sure our concerns were taken care of. My son is 4 and is extremely ready for Kindergarten, thanks to his amazing teachers! He has a daily report and always brings home TONS of art and crafts that they do throughout the week. I feel like the bad reviews where people who didn't have kids enrolled or didn't seek out meeting Joan and doing a tour with her. So in review, my kids have been going to Joan's since 2014, and we love it, and my kids are so happy going there! Never once has any teacher yelled at my kids, or my kids ever expressed to me that any teacher yelling at them or disliking them. (my oldest son is pretty sensitive kid so he would tell me if something like that ever happened) I'd recommend this daycare and Preschool to everyone! Just remember, don't trust a review if someone hasn't had their child attend there. Joan's is an amazing lady, and I love her vision for her daycare/Preschool!
Both my boys attending Joans Preschool. We loved the teachers (especially Miss Emilie!) the activities, sweet art projects, working on letter formation, and writing their name. My kids were well prepared to attend kindergarten.
I highly recommend Joan's Preschool. The facility is clean and each classroom has their own restrooms sized for kids and an adult size kitchen area. The kids get outside time everyday twice a day (weather dependent) in a gated yard with ride on push toys and small slides and the teachers are wonderful people. Each classroom has a bin full of books that the kids are read to each day and MINIMAL electronic time (maybe once a month the kids watch a movie). They stress the importance of play and how to be a good friend/person. Ms. Joanie the owner promotes an inclusive safe environment and maintains that culture with her staff. I've seen my children work on a letter each week that includes games, structured play, art and they LOVE it. While the price is higher than similar places in Eagle River, I promise it is worth it knowing your child is safe and getting daily reports from the teachers who know and care for your child.
Joan is a wonderful owner! She loves the kids and looks out for her employees. The kids are taught early levels of math, English, science, social studies and older kids practice writing. The hours are wonderful, allowing parent who work early, late and/or multiple jobs to have reliable childcare with reasonable hours. Nicole isn't exactly the best director, as she is fake in front of the parents. That's really the only downside. I still highly recommend 👌🏻
