What Parents Say
Jaymes Academy receives mixed reviews with strong praise from satisfied parents highlighting staff quality and care, but serious concerns from others about unprofessional management, poor communication, lack of staff training, and alleged mistreatment of children with developmental delays. The center has reportedly closed with little notice to parents and staff.
So, I guess I'll add to the reason the daycare is shutting their doors with little notice to the parents and staff is just the icing on this unprofessional place. The staff is rude and say off the wall stuff that doesn't add up and while they try to cover it, I've heard of the mistreatment of some of the developmentally delay children which they have several of. The staff is not properly trained to handle the children. The rules and policies are not being followed and the center manager likes to cover stuff up.
I’ve been taking my children here for the past 2 years almost and it is an amazing place, I highly recommend it. Mrs.Bobo is a great lady and does nothing but try and support us as well as our child!
Now this place is a joke. My husband and I called numerous times and made an appointment to tour the center. When I went with my baby Miss. Andrea insisted that we did not call that location. I literally had to say and repeat the centers telephone #, and the times my husband and I called the center before she attempted to offer assistance. She then called someone else who confirmed that my husband and I called. Miss Andrea then told me to wait, which I did. Only for her to come back and say that they will call for some other time. She also mentioned that there was no space for a one year old. My husband and I called a week earlier more than 2 times and was told there is availability on the 15th of August for our 1 year old. We got the tour date and time. We were told that only two children's parents were vying for the spot we wanted on the 15th but we had to pay $50 for the registration fee to secure the spot. We were told how much the weekly cost and that no part-time was offered. Our info was given, but when my child and I went the lady that came by the door acted as if she was hearing tales. We dodged a potentially more horrible experience.
Ask for Ms. Bobo when you get there, very knowledgeable and kind. She's got decades of experience and will take care of you and your children.
