Jackson Children'S Academy

I called to inquire about services, and unfortunately, the person who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional. She answered the phone by just saying "hi" like you would on your personal cell phone. I was caught off guard by her tone and thought I misdialed. When I asked whether the school accepts out-of-district students or offers speech or OT services—even if paid out of pocket—I was met with laughter. We live literally on the border between Jackson and Massillon school districts, and Jackson is the closest option for us. My son is diagnosed with autism, and I’ve heard wonderful things about Jackson’s support for children on the spectrum, so I didn’t think it would hurt to ask. However, the woman I spoke with came across as very judgmental and dismissive. She laughed at me multiple times during the call, including at the end when we hung up. The experience left me feeling disrespected and disappointed. Based on this interaction alone, I would not feel comfortable sending my children here.
