We sent our son to Itsy Bitsy between when he was 13 months old and 20 months old and I'm really glad we chose Itsy Bitsy over other daycares. There were a few big green flags about Itsy Bitsy: 1. They are designed to be overstaffed. If the state requirement for the infant room is 4:1, then they'll have max 8 students and 2 full-time teachers as well as a floater that covers that room and another room. This means the effective ratio is 8:2.5. Most of the other daycares we toured staffed rooms with the bare minimum 4:1 ratio, with some rooms having as many as 12 or 16 kids. 2. Jinah, the owner, caps shifts at 8 hours. This does mean that if you send your child to daycare all day, they will have to have a changeover of staff at 3pm, and your child will need to connect with multiple caregivers. The advantage is that the staff doesn't burn out from working a 10-12 hour shift, and I assume this also attracts better caregivers to Itsy Bitsy. 3. Several of the teachers at Itsy Bitsy send their own kids to daycare here, which really speaks to the quality of care! 4. They have a stricter sick policy than the state requires. This can be frustrating with figuring out backup care, but this means our son got less sick in general which is overall a positive.

I can not express enough how fantastic Ms. Susy and the entire staff is at Itsy Bitsy. I do not even consider them anything else but a second family to myself and my daughter. I know that my daughter is in the safest hands while being loved and cared for like she was their own. My daughter started just over a year old about two years ago, right in the middle of COVID. I was extremely nervous sending her because of Covid as well as she was pretty isolated most of her life. The minute I met Ms. Susy my fears and anxiety went out the window, I can’t really explain it but she just made me feel at ease and I completely trusted her and everyone else at the daycare. Its just a feeling and for those who do not know her, once you meet her and everyone else you will instantly understand. They are by far the best daycare because they treat the children and their families like an extension of their own. I would be lost with out them. They also take precautions with Covid very seriously and properly follow protocols and keep the children safe. Lastly my daughter loves every teacher there and is extremely happy with her Bitsy family which makes me a very happy and grateful mom.

My daughter started at Itsy Bitsy when she turned 1 and we continued for 2 years until we moved out of town. I have nothing but great things to say about this place, and its director Ms Susy. I became a single mother a year after my daughter started going here, and Ms Susy went above and beyond to make my life easy in any aspect possible. Her friendly, flexible and helpful attitude is being missed, which I get to appreciate even more now, now that my daughter is going to a new preschool in another state. I loved the caretakers here as well, one of which was very instrumental in potty-training my little one with her great tips. While facilities are not super modern as some of the newer schools, they are clean and well maintained. The combination of the director and the caretakers make this place one of the best daycares IMO in the area. When I first researched this school, there weren't many reviews available about it, as they were formerly affiliated with Les Enfants.

Should have written this months back.Better late than never :-) My son J started going here when he was around 8 months old and continued till he was 2.We had to change him due to my job/location requirements.I have only good things to say about the infant care they offer. Teachers/Caregivers were almost like grandmoms to him- very caring/loving. He loved going there and I was always at peace knowing he was in safe hands. The director,Susy was very friendly and helpful. The school is small but well maintained.
