It Takes a Village is an amazing early education center. My son went here for 3 years. The owner is an educator and the children have fun while they are learning. My son made relationships and he maintains them until this day. It’s not just an early learning center, it’s a community where children are nurtured. They have events for the children and parents. My son was more than prepared for school after attending here, if fact he still has not covered some of the topics that he was taught at It Takes a Village. One visit and you will understand why. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
It has been a pleasure to watch It Takes a Village grow into a thriving early learning center and family oriented community. The teachers have prepared my kids for kindergarten through the use of play, rigorous curriculum and social emotional development programs. They have hosted wonderful celebrations, field trips and camps! I have already recommended ITAV to families who want to challenge their kids and set them on the path for excellence!
Amazing school! I transferred my daughter to this school when she was about 2.5 years old because her previous daycare center was holding her back. I love that ITAV is a family and I love that all the kids get a good educational challenge. My daughter was able to test into kindergarten early because of Allison and the wonderful staff here. Highly recommended.
Ms. Allison and the teachers of ITAV were phenomenal in providing an excellent educational experience coupled with a caring, nurturing and safe environment. My boys attended for 2 years and left to advance to kindergarten. We were told that they are both ahead in terms of reading and comprehension and we must attribute that to Ms. Allison’s leadership. The curriculum that she uses to teach the children was fantastic. We will miss her, the teachers and of course Ms. Gwen, who prepared the BEST meals f the children every day. Very grateful for our experience here. It truly takes a village and we certainly feel that a village helped to raise and mold our boys.
My daughter is a recent graduate of ITAV and we will surely miss our daily involvement with the ITAV family, but hope to continue to keep in contact. She attended since she was 2 years old and is now 5. So, this is truly a bittersweet moment. But, we leave knowing she is well-prepared for her next educational journey. ITAV is a family & Allison is the best director anyone could ask for. She listen’s to parent suggestions & truly cares to create the best environment for each child & family. The ITAV family cared for my daughter as if she was their own. The curriculum provided rigor & prepared my child beyond her leveled expectations. She graduated being taught first grade curriculum! We absolutely loved participating in the extra curricular activities, especially dance. Mrs. Courtney was amazing! The parent-teacher conferences kept me abreast of my child’s academic & social-emotional growth. The field trips and annual celebrations (Trunk-or-treat, Christmas, Easter Egg Hunt, Mother’s Day & Father’s Day) provided memories that we will always cherish. All of the activities also allowed bonding amongst the students & their families. My daughter & I have gain some great friendships as a result of her attendance there. I would highly recommend ITAV directed by Mrs. Allison Simon to any parent. In fact, I recommended them to one of my best friend’s, whose child attends now! :)
