Our family and many friends have had children grow up at iDiscover. One of my daughters is still best friends with a child she met here. My daughter attended iDiscover from age 2 to VPK. It’s a blessing that my son attends discover now, almost 7 years later! Many of the same staff my daughter grew up with are still there, 7 years later and I feel that speaks volume to the families and organization for providing an environment for long lasting relationships/staff.
I couldn't ask for a better daycare everyone is so friendly the kids are great the teachers are great...I can drop my boys off and know they are safe and well taken care of..and the big plus is they teach about god/Jesus i love it when my 3 yr old comes home singing Jesus loves me hands down best day care ever
My granddaughter recently experienced iDiscover. She is 4. The first month there everything seemed to be going well. We did not hear anything negative. The second month my girl started experiencing tantrums at nap time. My son outgrew his nap at 4. This is an early and very long 2 hour nap. The 2 co teachers like it quiet. I sometimes would go pick up my granddaughter after nap and stand knocking continuously at the door before 1 of the teachers even noticed. Noisy and utter chaos with 19 kids in there- such a small room. In your contract it says you may come shadow your child if they are having difficulty. I was allowed 1 time to do this. I have an Early Childhood degree and 30 years experience teaching kindergarten I think they were intimidated having me in the room. My granddaughter is seeing a child behavior therapist for her issues. I thought we could all work out a solution to make this work. The problem was occuring during the nap. I even offered to model nap and sit with her during it. They had a sensory tub they would offer only sometimes. We were not allowed to brainstorm ideas so my granddaughter could succeed. The next visit I had to pick up due to her behavior I was not allowed to shadow or get her back to class. The director was out and they said go home and don't come back to Monday! My son and daughter in law work and I had been sick so my daughter in law had to take a day off from work. They immediately offer half days so nap would not be an issue. But parents have to work! The owner seems to not have a clue what is going on with her teachers. I asked the other co teacher in her class if she was offered the sensory tub when she could not nap and she didn't even know? My granddaughter was taken out at this point. Come take them home you are suspended is all they offer. Supposingly they had all these resources to help but none of that was offered. The clincher in all of this is they wanted 2 weeks notice she was being pulled out! I'm sure they have a waiting list and wanted to fill her spot immediately. If your child can still take naps or does not have any problems you will be fine. Otherwise run away from this place ... Looks and words are deceiving. Very disappointed in this daycare ***In response to the owner's post: I too feel you have made incorrect statements in your post and would like to clarify. I did not write any other negative review that is an incorrect statement. I like to review businesses so others are informed. It is illegal for a daycare to post personal behavior issues about a child in response to a negative review. Doing so violates privacy laws. I can assure you I did not berate your staff in any way. That is another incorrect statement .They do seem insecure in their answers when I questioned them about issues or circumstances. Although my granddaughter is having some problems this can be normal behavior for a 4 year old. I did not feel you did everything you could as stated in the contract for us to work together to resolve issues. There was supposed to be therapy offered by the director but all she offered was half days. I just want other parents to be fully informed about your daycare.
We’re so thankful for the care our daughter has received at iDiscover! Huge thanks to Ms. Rita and Ms. Olivia for guiding us through the baby stage as first-time parents, and to all the teachers who made her feel so welcome. We’ll miss you all!
I just started taking my son here. He is almost two and in the last few weeks, I have seen him grow already so much socially. His teachers are wonderful and they really love the kids. Drop off is hard for him but they make it easy for mama. Ms. Meybis, Ms. Beth and Ms. Emma have all been exceptional!
