I love this church! My dad is the pastor and this isn’t biased but he is one of the most humble, giving, caring, and compassionate people I’ve met. He loves others so well and preaches the Bible with truth. This church is so incredibly caring and giving and does so much do help the local community and does lots of mission work.
I have been attending HRBC since 2017. I have felt at peace there. The pastor and staff are so dear to my heart! If you need prayer, they are there for you. The pastor prayed with us, for my daughter right before she had a major back surgery. It was the most difficult time in our familiy's life. The pastor visited my mom recovery from surgery as well. The church service is a mix of traditional and contemporary worship and message. There is a new worship leader and can wait to see how the Lord leads the future of the church! There is outreach ministry. Tool box ministry, 55 and above ministry, children ministry, pray shawl ministry, music ministry and more. I enjoy when the children reading the scripture lesson. They speak with clarity. The baptism ceremonies and communion are so special to me.
I called to help the church out and let them know that a financally stable member/worker is going around begging for money from other members and they are falling for it by giving it to her and the pastor didn't seem to care. Some are writing her $800 checks. I like helping people out that are truly in need but definitely don't want to be scammed into doing it. She also calls other churches and scams them too. She's been doing this for years. This member definitely doesn't need it as she works full time and has a trust fund from her deseased father. Her husband doesn't even know about all the checks she gets from the members. Not sure why she keeps that secret but she does use her husband not working as a way to get money for them and the kids. I definitely would want to go to a church where the pastor cared about what goes on under the churches roof. The pastor said it was a police issue. He never did call the police but honestly I think its a moral issue. It's just so sad that these people think that their money is going to someone who really needs it when in all reality it's going to people who don't need it and the pastor doesn't even alert them. I'd want to know where my money really goes to.
This is really a nice size church and seems very community oriented
Went here for the first time recently, as I'm not Baptist, and sadly for the Memorial Service of a friend's mother. What a nice place. The staff was very kind, everything was very clean. Cool maps of the Holy Land from various period adorning the walls. Ample parking, and accessible location. Lovely buildings.
