One of the few churches I have been to that promote inclusion no matter your beliefs or situation. Pastor Sterling is a great orator and a genuinely passionate man who believes in the good in everyone. The congregation is always welcoming as well.
This is the absolute best place to be in growing with god and just feeling like you are at home and belong. I grew up in this church and I’m so incredibly grateful for everything they done for me especially as a teenager and young child. I could come to this place and be myself. Thank you!
Like all churches, TBC is finding its way in a new post- Covid landscape. Not always perfect but perfectly accepting of all non- perfect persons.
Got invited and ready to sign in and asked if I could come back almost 3 hrs later thinking I needed to come to church but nah want me to come back at a later time for the holidays food bank and breakfast I don't back track back and forth thanks but no thanks Merry Christmas hope this helps the next person without transportation
No church is perfect, but Tabernacle gets as close as any. An amazing, loving place that truly cares about people, all people, without judgement. They serve their neighborhood, the homeless and hungry, Burmese refugees, and affluent middle and upper class families all the same. They are diverse, creative and caring. Worship is lectionary based traditionally grounded but always creative. I would recommend this church to anyone and everyone who wants to deepen their faith and attempt to live a truly Christ-like life.
