Horizons Hampton Roads At Norfolk Collegiate Upper School

My elders always told me everything free not always good. Kicked my son out because for some reason would not go in classroom and he is not much a swimmer. They force your kids to swim my son has to test waters before going in. They tried to act like something was wrong with my child he is a honor roll student and always involved in programs in school. He is 6 him and his twin sister attended. They called me and told me we could sit down and figure out something that could help like bring a stuffed animal. When I got there Director instead tricked me kicked him out program. I feel like if we were a different race would have helped. Also I am a single mom and a college student. Because of almost the middle of summer could not find him anywhere I was forced to stop working and went through a financial hardship.

My boys attended this camp from the age of 6 and 9 until my younger son aged out at 14 years old. And my older son volunteered for 3 years after he aged out. Completely free to the families, full of amazing opportunities and a bunch of amazing friendships that will last them a lifetime. It was like a family. They learn to swim everyday, go on field trips, give them a full day of learning and fun. I can't say enough great things about Horizons.

If I could give this program ZERO stars I would!!!My child attended the Portsmouth Program last summer and all because she didn't want to participate in swimming they sent us a letter stating after careful consideration we regret to inform you your child will not be invited back ALL BECAUSE A 6 YEAR OLD WAS SCARED TO GET IN THE WATER!!!!They should really be ashamed of themselves and I would not recommend anyone whose child is scared to get into the water to go here.The Director Donna Henry and Elaine Lyons the one who wrote the Letter I feel are Liars and just Ridiculous!!!!!
