Both of my children have attended Hopkins House Helen Day, and it truly feels like an extension of our family. My daughter has thrived from the infant program to the bridge room, with teachers who nurture and care for her as if she were their own. I love that I can also be involved—whether volunteering, supporting teachers, or serving on the council. She comes home imitating circle time, singing songs, and sharing stories about her friends, which shows the strong educational and social foundation she’s building. Hopkins House has been a blessing for our family, and I highly recommend it!

My child has been attending Hopkins House Helen Day Preschool Academy since infancy (now 3yo). We and my child have loved this preschool. The teachers all clearly care about my child, who gets excited seeing and talking about the teachers and friends there. They provide the children great structure, learning activities, and free play. The teachers have been attentive when we've raised a need (diaper rash, reflux, potty training, etc.) or had a question. The school administrators are forthcoming when there's something of concern and Hopkins House executives keep parents informed on changes, local events, and policies, including opportunities to advocate for child care policies and funding at the state and federal levels. Hopkins House also has a Family Support Coordinator, who is available to meet and support families and arranges such services for the preschools as hearing and dental screenings.

We sent our son here when he was about 6 months old and it was the best decision. The staff and daycare providers have been amazing and very accommodating to any parent requests. My child is learning so much and is extremely far ahead of milestones due to their engagement and socialization. This is such a friendly, caring, and safe environment. Would recommend to everyone (especially to our military families)

My grandson has been a student at Hopkins House- Helen Day School for a year in the preschool program. The staff are professional, caring and nurturing to the children and their parents. The facilities are clean, welcoming and safe, providing a wonderful learning environment . The program is state and nationally accredited and they use the respected Creative Curriculum in each classroom. My grandson has blossomed in the care of dedicated teachers and staff and I know he will excel in his education thanks to the strong foundation he has received.

We were a Hopkins House - Helen Day Preschool family for 4.5 years, since my daughter was 5 months old. She just graduated in 2022 and I couldn't recommend this NAECY accredited center more highly! We have always felt that she was extremely well cared for and encouraged to grow and develop at every stage. She was completely ready for Kindergarten due to the education she received at this center. There is an active parent council and the administration greatly values parent input and involvement. The principal deeply cares about the entire HH community; students, parents and teachers. Events for every holiday, field trips, and a truly amazing graduation ceremony for graduating students, I could go on and on! Thank you to the whole Hopkins House community for everything you have done for our daughter and our whole family!
