My daughter has been going to Honey bear since September 2025 and she loves it! She loves her teachers and all the faculty. They have been very instrumental in her growth and development. Since she started going there her behavior has improved tremendously. Her teachers are very personable and keep me updated daily on her progress. I’m a single mom and the director, Ms. Cathie, worked with me on the tuition so it’s within my budget. I feel blessed that we have become part of the Honey bear family!
I started writing this review so many times, trying to find the best words to describe my experience with Honey Bear. In 2021, my husband and I visited multiple childcare when we moved to CT. We were so fortunate to meet Ms. Cindy who was friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic person who took her time to explain us and show us around the different programs they had. The teachers and staff are professionals, warm, caring, and hard-working. The best description "THEY ARE EXCELLENT." They are very attentive and compassionate and treat your children as if they are their own. The director, Catherine Vanicky, is very approachable and responsive, always does her best to help you in any way she can! She loves children. The facility is clean, renovated, and most important for me SECURE. Classrooms are by age with plenty of books, toys, and supplies. Playgrounds are amazing where children can have fun, learn, and interact with nature. I feel so happy, blessed, and grateful that Honey Bear was part of my daughters' development and growth, preparing them for kindergarten. I recommend them 200% and believe when they say it is a family working team. Honey Bear offers so many family activities where parents can share and spend time with their children. They are great at communicating about any issues. One thing I like most is the fact that they care a lot about children health. The last thing I have to say is THANK YOU. To all prospective students, My son went to Honey Bear in the 1990’s for 2 years. This was a wonderful foundation to his upcoming years in education. In his second year of Honey Bear he went to kindergarten. His first day of kindergarten he was walked over by the staff and spent a half day in Nichols and half day at Honey Bear. He had an easy transition and a successful year due to his learning and playing at Honey Bear. His first day of kindergarten was my first day of teaching in elementary school. It is now 35 years later and he is a mechanical engineer with a solid career and I have retired from teaching. His success is due to his strong academic start at Honey Bear Learning Center. It was a good decision as a mother to send him there.
We have been at honeybear since 2022- our daughter has loved her experience as a baby in panda room all the up through preschool! All the teachers are so kind, patient and really have built a bond with our girls. It has been so fun seeing our girls make friends, come home with crafts, tell us about what they did in the playground and learn about being a super friend! Honeybear does a great job at teaching the girls through play and song. We would highly recommend honeybear to anyone looking for a daycare/preschool
My 5 year old Graduated from honey bear day care and she is the first of 3 kids which I needed support so that I can work and attend school full time, and as a parent trusting others is very hard and with all the things you see or hear on the news about staff and daycares it’s very stressful, well with honey bear they have high tech security in which they have codes at the door to enter the building and you have to physically use your finger print to sign your child in and out if your self or spouse are not on the pick up list no one can even enter the building or pick up your child which made me feel really safe also they use an app which you can communicate and actually harass them lol ask a thousand times how your child is doing and they send pictures of the children having fun in their huge playground and they have time to endure the nature like plant and flower picking ugh I just love this for the children they get to be kids and enjoy the outside. Honey bear school is very family oriented all staff work well as a team and treat you with such love. If your ever in a crisis they also will be there for you I went through sort of a crisis and I had no one to turn to or even trust because I was going through a lot and let me tell you they stand up for you they go above and beyond they also can be used as a reference at any period of your life. They are just not about the money they treat your child as family they also treat you as family. The director is an amazing woman she loves what’s she does this day care has been passed down from generation to generation and it’s what I love about them. Oh and miss Jen she is kind and loving my daughter comes home singing all the songs they learned from miss Jen and the manners that my 5 year old has Melts my heart. The Graduation was beautiful seeming my child in a cap and gown was very special. We got to decorate them as well.
