It is never easy leaving my baby and going to work but this place has been amazing!! Our daughter is currently 8 months old and we have been using this daycare for three months. The administration agreed to every morning, the teachers are absolutely wonderful, there is a detailed sign out of what happened during the day including diaper changes, eating schedule, naps, and any needs for the next day. The camera monitoring system is nice to check in and I always see my daughter with a teacher or playing! The "projects" and pictures they send home for theme weeks are adorable. I give this daycare 10/10 on professionalism, cleanliness, security, happiness, and engagement in the children!

My daughter has been here for almost a year. The front staff is very friendly and helpful. They always greet my daughter when she comes in by her name. My daughter was in the Toddler 3's with Mrs. Elsa and Mrs. Adrianna as her teachers. They were the best. Always welling to speak to me when I had questions and advise me how she was doing. Very caring and loving towards my daughter and the other kids in her class. My daughter learned so much while been in Mrs. Elsa class. My daughter was a happy when I picked her up. Sometimes she didn't want to go home and wanted to stay with Mrs. Elsa. That showed me how much my daughter loved been in her class.

My son attended this school and I have had nothing but bad experiences. This school is like an animal farm for toddlers. They are rough with the kids and the overseers spend most of the day chit chatting with each other. I call them overseers because they don’t teach the kids. Administration makes excuses for the staff and condones with their behavior. My child has been pinched and fed cold food from home for a month without notifying us that they don’t warm food. DCF needs to take a trip over there.

While majority of the staff and personnel are great there is much room left for improvement and growth. There is no consistency to curriculum and structure and offerings among the other schools that Home Away From Home have open. I truly believed that if a child is full-time VPK and a parent is paying the fee then the day(s) that are considered drop-in there should be no additional charges even if it is just $10. While my child does not eat lunch at the school I find it a bit lacking that they give the kids the same lunch week after week with no variations. This is one of the reasons I do not allow my child to eat lunch. Water being given from a previously used juice jug?? A water dispenser should be used

This is my second day having to leave work early in less than a week. 1st day Mon 23rd: I was told to pick up my 3 year old because he was not following directions. I asked if he hit some one, was throwing stuff, endangering other kids, endangering staff, endangering himself, screaming continuously, spitting on kids, using foul language, not eating, and the answer was "NO". He was just not following directions. I clocked out, and drove 30 mins to daycare. I talked to the director. I told the director this is weird that you want to send him home for a tantrum. Especially when a couple weeks back a mother was complaining, that her daughter had been hit by another child multiple times on multiple occasions, and you allowed that child to finish out those day. The director agreed that my child just needed to be talked to. The director also informed me that they didn't have enough staff, and it is 15 to 1 child/teacher ratio. The director said my son teacher had two disobedient kids in the class, and one was already sent home last week, so basically my son was next. I had a talk with my son. He went back to the classroom, and I watch the class for 15 mins. I notice the teacher required my child to sit on the rug with the other kids, but with the exception of one little boy. He was allowed to lay on the floor and put his feet up on the chair. Then the teacher start talking about sea life animals, and my son laid behind these two little boys, which one was the child that was already laying down, and the little boys start play punching (boys being boys) my son while he was laying down. Immediately the teacher gets on my son. She tells him not to jump on them like that. So, the child that is underneath the boys is wrong? I assumed that the teacher was just frustrated. I called the daycare director again before I made it back to work. She said he was doing fine. Hes listening. Day 2 (Today 25th): He was sent home for throwing a tantrum. My son isn't allowed to play with any toys, tablet, and had to talk a nap. That's me doing my job as a father. Summary: Facts: Paid for a service. Service wasn't completed. Lost hours at work. High school daughter had to miss half a day of school to babysit. Opinion: Nice appearance. Understanding director. Facility not big enough to support the demand. Not enough staff. Not enough experienced staff. Needs to employ more seasoned child development staff, and foster some of their best know methods of handling children. Instead of picking and choosing which kids you do not want no more. I work for a living as well. I don't have the luxury of picking and choosing projects based on the complexity of the project. Conclusion: Two week notice has to be submitted to Home Away From Home. Wife has to quit current job, to take care of my 3 year old, Thanks.
