I had the blessed privilege of partaking in the Holy Mass on the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, an experience that illuminated my heart and spirit with a warmth that resonated beyond mere words. An uncommonly beautiful Mass it was, led by a guest pastor from Yorktown, whose homily shimmered with wisdom. A pastor most holy, Deacon Dave, also hosted a talk after mass that I was honored to attend. He imparted moving insights on surrender, love, and judgement, expounding on the sacred task of surrendering our relationships to Christ. Hid words, steeped in holy wisdom, flowed like a gentle brook, touching all who were present and leaving us with a heightened sense of humility and love. A harmonious union of parishioners, their hearts aflame with faith, further heightened the sanctity of the occasion. Their saintliness was evident, not just in their prayers, but in their actions, a testament to the transformative power of faith. Truly, in their unwavering devotion and love, they embodied the essence of Christ's teachings. Following the Mass was a rosary, unique in its design, a first for me. The rhythmic cadence of a sung Ave Maria punctuated each decade, creating a symphony of prayer that echoed in the halls and hearts alike. A dedicated prayer for the holy priesthood served as a testament to the unity and shared mission of the community. For those who find solace in the quietude of the evening, the church's Mass offerings at 6:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays are a godsend. Rare indeed is the church that caters to the nocturnal congregation, yet the Holy Spirit Catholic Church shines like a beacon in the twilight hours, drawing in those seeking solace under the stars. In summation, the Holy Spirit Catholic Church is a precious gem set in the crown of Virginia Beach's Catholic community, its luster undimmed by the sands of time. I was visiting the area with my family and went to Mass on a Saturday evening. Our experience was amazing! The music just carried us away, and the community was caring and friendly. I brought our own GF host but was approached shortly after by a wonderful lady in the Parish. She explained that they could provide us with a low gluten host if we visited again, so we wouldn't have to worry about it. We all felt so welcomed and cared for. This is a wonderful Parish!

Friendly and caring people. They are always so welcoming. The priest gave a wonderful Homily and service times make it available for me to go even when I’m schedule for work on Sundays
