What Parents Say
Holy Cross Learning Center receives mixed reviews. While some parents praise the friendly, family-like atmosphere and Christian environment, other parents report serious concerns about unprofessional director behavior, inadequate supervision, safety issues, and unresponsive staff to parental concerns.
Wonderful and friendly LCMS church! We've visited several times while traveling through Lawton and have always felt at home.
The director of this facility is very unprofessional! I walked my son into school on June 15th and she said " your favorite teacher quiet and abandoned these kids" for one. She could have said the teacher in this class I'd no longer with us. I will be in here till I find a replacement. But no, she was hateful and made me feel as if she was directing it at me. When I tried to talk to her when I picked my son up she was still hateful and rude and informed me that she has a list full of kids waiting for my son's spot. Today June 16th she informed us that my son was no longer welcomed there because I posted something on Facebook. First off I did not name the school. I will be taking this to the Church board. I have already contacted DHS and I am trying to find an attorney! For a Christian school it is being ran in a very un Christian like way!
Firstly if I could give this daycare zero start rating I would. I had several problems with this facility on the first day my child was there the teacher let him fall right in front of me and didn't even go pick him up she complained about me bringing so many diapers for him stating she didn't have enough room for all of his things. The next incident I had I couldn't find his teacher when I went to drop him off before work and I had to walk around and find somewhere where everyone was at which caused me to be late for work when I spoke to the director about it she said they were shortstaffed which I understood however I should be able to drop my child off at the same place every single day and not have to run him inside and outside when it's cold and he's been sick she told me if I didn't like it I could find another place to take my child. For the second incident had occurred she would always talk to my child when we were leaving and be so sweet to him after the incident where she told us we could leave she never spoke another word to him and doesn't seem like a very Christian lady to me she was very rude and hateful anytime I had a question or problem that's not very godly if you ask me. My son had never had a problem with your infections until he started going to this daycare one day when I showed up early to pick him up I found out why he was laying down drinking a bottle which doctor say will cause them to have ear infections when I talk to his teacher about it she said oh I've never heard of that before we let them do it all the time . I asked her to never let it happen again unfortunately it did. The last and final straw was when I went to go pick my child up early for his one-year pictures and he was outside where they have a playground with Rocks in it. His teacher wasn't even paying attention when I walked up and he had rocks in his mouth!! They took them outside almost every day even when it was cold outside and my child was sick very often because of it . Time I had a problem concern or question I could never get it fully answered and I was treated as if I was a troublesome parent or a parent who complain too much and anytime I did have a problem and try to discuss it with anyone I was told that if I didn't like it I could leave . Expected much more from this Christian daycare and I highly advise anyone that is thinking about going here to run away as fast as you can!
Just there long enough too have the life line tests. The AC works great nice place for worshipping.
They treat you like family
