Holsclaw Family Child Care Center

My son previously went her for preschool he did great most of the time. But for some reason the last half of the year he was there he was having behavior issues. I've tried counseling, parenting classes, etc nothing seemed to work. I've noticed that there were a lot of students and very little teachers. The preschool teachers were always quiting getting hired which made it unstable for not only my son but I'm sure with other kids. My son was bullied and I came to the director about it and she said they are just being boys. Nothing was being done so I took him out. He went to a new daycare and did so much better. He is now in kindergarten and has had no serious issues like he did at the y .

We love the Holsclaw Family YMCA Child Care Center! Everything is bright, colorful, and clean. The staff have all been wonderful with my kiddos and with me. They really make my kids feel special, but also teach responsibility and working as a team. They have a GuardianCam system, so I can check in on my kiddo to see how things are going. I wasn't sure if I would use the camera system, but I use it at least once a day, as do my son's grandparents and his aunt! The YMCA takes advantage of their proximity to the local main library and the YMCA adult facilities -- they go to reading hour at the library, offer free swim lessons (these are once per year for a few weeks), and take the kids to the gym to play with balls, hoops, etc., not to mention the daily outside play time in their enclosed yard. I like the daily reports on their activities, what they ate, how much my kid ate, how much he napped, etc. The kids get lots of cool activities -- playing with blocks, cars, houses/dolls, play-doh, sand, water, etc. I am sure that when it is time for my son to head to kindergarten, he will have the necessary skills with letters, colors, numbers, his name, and working in a classroom environment. Most of all, he is happy there. I recommend this center highly.

They are not properly trained to take care of children. They would call me out of work to pick up my child for any inconvenience.

My child is doing much better after leaving here.
