I have two sets of friends that attend this church — wonderful people who individually spoke very highly of their church and pastor. I visited a year ago and joined the church about 8 months ago. It is the friendliest environment I could have hoped for. EVERYONE is welcoming. The Pastor's sermons are positive. The music is lovely. I honestly don't think I've met as many genuine and friendly people in one place! I do work some Sundays, but if I'm able to, the church has a link on their website to view the service remotely.
Im a caregiver that transported a client and stuck around for the service and enjoyed the sermon very much. Smiles, Are we there yet was the topic and a very good one at that.
Preschool is a very cold, unwelcoming and unloving environment. Facility is nice, but the director is very unwelcoming and seems to intimidate all the staff. No one can speak to parents unless director tells them what to say. Smaller siblings asked to be “held” during drop off and pickup, bc it “puts them over ratio”. At drop off and pickup, parents and siblings may not step foot over classroom door threshold or converse with teachers- you have to schedule a conference to have a conversation. Conferences are held in the directors office, so she can be in control and hear everything that is said. Wouldn’t tell me how my child’s eval scores compare to others her age, directors’ repeated reply “you can’t compare children”. VPK curriculum consisted of one coloring sheet of a new letter each week, and sitting the kids at a table with paper and random stickers. Teachers are nice, but given zero control over their own classroom… the school needs a more loving culture, climate and management.
