I whole heartedly recommend Hillcrest, it is so much more than a daycare. It is a trusted community of amazing humans that thoughtfully and intentionally care for your children. We have been sending our son to Hillcrest for almost a year. The staff are nothing short of amazing. Our son is welcomed by name by every staff member we cross. He is excited to go to school everyday and some days doesn’t want to leave! As a mother to a young child that cannot talk yet it is priceless to have peace of mind. The way he embraces his teachers and lights up when he is there says everything we need to know.

I truly love Hillcrest and it has been a blessing for our family. The teachers are warm, friendly, and caring. When we come in, several teachers (not even involved in our classroom) greet my son by name. They have stimulating lessons, outdoor play, lots of creativity and art. My son talks about his teachers. "I love Miss Kelly." "I wanna go school see Miss Abby." He was sick and had a fever, stayed home, and was mad about it. "I wanna go school!" I feel like they truly love children and let them play and be kids. The director and assistant director put time and energy into quality programing. My school aged child will be attending this summer and they have field trips weekly, pool days weekly, and positive lessons and learning. I am excited for her to be mentally engaged over the summer, active, and mostly to just have fun. For reference, my son is 3 and has been here just over a year in the Imagineers and Dreamakers classrooms and we came before our good friends have had two children at Hillcrest for 5 years.

Parents, be aware of this place! They make it seem to be such a nice and loving place but it's not. I worked here briefly and my short time there was miserable! I've worked in childcare for almost 6 years and I have never ever left a child behind. On two separate occasions, I witnessed two children being left behind while the teacher and their entire class went outside to play. That is NOT okay in my book!! When I alerted the lead teachers of these incidents, they simply just shrugged it off and said it was okay. No, it's NOT okay!! Parents, just because a daycare center is in a christian church doesn't mean anything! This place doesn't practice what they preach! They supposedly follow Conscious Discipline and of all my years learning and doing Conscious Discipline, I have never seen a more pathetic "SAFE PLACE." The safe place should have a bean bag, something soft for the kids to play with and all Hillcrest has to offer these children is an empty space in the corner for them to relax. I'm sure if Becky Bailey saw what Hillcrest had to offer as a safe place, she would shake her head in disappointment. Parents, use your best judgement when enrolling here. Good luck!

This center is our home away from home! The teachers make connections with the entire family and value the relationships they build. They make learning inclusive and hands on. The friendships we've made have continued well past preschool age. I could not imagine semding my children anywhere else!
