What Parents Say
HERE WE GROW CHILDRENS CENTER, LLC (also referred to as POCC) in Clinton receives predominantly positive feedback, with parents praising the caring staff, creative learning activities, and new director Cheryl's leadership. However, one parent reported serious concerns about staff member Rose, citing poor child supervision, lack of responsiveness to behavioral needs, and an incident resulting in the child being wet and injured.
We love POCC of Clinton. My son has learned and grown so much from being enrolled in the program there. They do creative projects as well as fun activities throughout the day. In the summer they set up a great outdoor play space with opportunities for water play. The communication has also significantly improved with the new director Cheryl. She is always planning cute events and themes and is easy to reach regarding questions or concerns. The classroom teachers are so kind and warm and you can tell they genuinely enjoy every kid in their class.
My son attends POCC and I am thrilled with his experience at this school. He receives excellent support and care from the staff and they go above and beyond in every aspect. He is constantly learning new things and loves how fun and interactive the lessons are. As a parent, I am very pleased with the various events offered to allow us to see our children's work and interact with the staff. I would recommend POCC to anyone looking for a great school in Clinton for their little ones.
I love this school. My daughter has only been attending a short while but all the teachers are amazing. Mrs. Nicole has been such a help to us, she is a perfect fit. The new director is on point with everything which makes parenting life so much easier. She is assertive and well organized. Answers any questions I have and listens to my concerns. I am happy that my daughter gets to attend here. She is loving getting to make new friends while learning. Everyday she comes home with something new she learned at school. I also hear here singing all the songs shes picked up while there lol. All around just a positive environment. I went here as a child under a different school name and loved it. I'm thankful my daughter is having a similar experience and is thriving. Thank you to all the teachers and staff at POCC for all you do. We appreciate you.
My daughter is attending her second year of PreK at Precious Ones Child Care. Since the get-go we have seen tremendous improvement on her social skills with other children, language development and overall learning. The staff are incredibly caring and supportive! Very happy we chose POCC for her PreK experience!
This is absolutely long-overdue. Rose should not be in this profession: she is passive-aggressive, plays favorites, and treated me horribly due to my child because she pinned him as the "problem child" on the first day, despite my efforts to explain his behavioral issues months and months prior. On one occasion, I had told them I'm picking my child up by 11:30 to bring him to the doctor, and to have him ready to go. When I arrived, my child was soaking wet from the rain - inside, yet still soaking wet - with a bruise in his ear (that they blamed on him, despite not knowing how it happened), and a bloody cut in his rain boot. Not to mention, they had put his rain boots on him without socks. When questioned about this, the girl (not Rose), said, "well... we tried getting socks on him." Really? What am I paying you for? If I can get socks on my son everyday, you can, too. When we arrived at the Pediatrician, she was horrified and said... "I definitely do not think this is the place for you." What kind of place is this? Many sources following this instance have also concluded that this is absolutely NOT the place to send your child. Seriously, steer clear.
