Hastings Child Development Center

My daughter attended HCDC from the time she was 6 months to age 4. She learned so much during this time. I felt like we received very good care and it was educational. We moved out of Hastings and have not been able to find a child care center that did as good of a job as HCDC. If it didn’t add 40 minutes onto my commute I would absolutely enroll her again.

My daughter has been going here now for 4 months. She is 7 months old, and absolutely loves it! Seeing her get so happy when we pull up to the front of the daycare is so comforting for ANY mom to see. The staff is SO attentive and you can tell they genuinely care for the kids that go here. The director Liz is amazing and very responsive to any questions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good center. I've heard a lot of people say it's pricey, but quite honestly, you can't put a price on your child's safety and care. 10000% 5 out of 5 stars :)

I LOVE this place! They are amazing! My son is deaf and the teachers were more than willing to learn sign! One already has a strong foundational sign background! I would absolutely recommend Hastings Child Development center. Both my children attend and I would not have them go anywhere else! The staff is friendly and the director is phenomenal! We love HCDC!

Not recommended to anyone. Half the staff were great and the other half were toxic and unfortunately it's the toxic ones running the business and it trickles down from the top. They take an enormous amount of days off that you will pay full price for. For example last year they took a 5 day weekend for new years day which was on a Saturday...yes they wanted Thursday, Friday and Monday off to celebrate new years on Friday night but still want full payment for all the days and do not pay their staff any of that money just pocket it.... If it snows over an inch I wouldn't count on them being open as it is to unsafe for their staff to travel and again they will want full price and pocket the money. If it snows in the afternoon they will close early and expect you to pay full price again. Sometimes staff will look for reasons to send your child home early like "pooped more than 3 times and has to go home, sorry that's just our policy" again full price. If you bring anything up to the people in charge you will be deemed as a bad person and will notice all of the staff treat you different because you brought up an issue you had. When I brought up to management that the staff was being rude I was told "you are the rude one" and "you are the only one to complain" which blew me away since I was bringing up something that you would think they would be very concerned with. I was blown away by the response and it was clear they do not care about anything but getting the full payment. We tried and tried and tried to make this place work for our kids friendships but these people do not care about your child, customer service or anything but collecting full payment. Do yourself a favor avoid this place and go to one of the many other daycares that actually care about your child and customer service.

My son is 8 months old and we absolutely love HCDC! The staff is so great with him and genuinely love and care about him. As a first time mom they’ve also been extremely helpful in helping him reach appropriate milestones in his development. The director Liz is so wonderful, she’s extremely helpful and accommodating to our family’s needs and Robin is also available and extremely helpful with so many of our questions. I can’t say enough how great this place is. I would absolutely recommend it, especially for infants as they have the staff to give the babies the attention they need at that young age.
