Happy Lion Day Care Center

My daughter has autism and no when she started had never been to school or daycare before . No other daycare would take her. After a few weeks at happy lion she was right at home. They worked with her and allowed her to be herself. As a mom of a child with special needs it means the world that she’s surrounded by people who care and treat her like any other child. She was so happy to go to daycare and play with the other kids. For anyone with a child with special needs or not and you’re looking for a daycare/ after school care facility please consider Happy Lion.

My Daughter started happy Lion when she was almost three years old and newly diagnosed with autism. Before my husband and I found Happy Lion I was given a 5 page list by Coco for kids of different daycare’s in the area San Pablo and Richmond. Going down the list I have called EVERY SINGLE Daycare. Once I mention that my daughter is on the spectrum, we get turned away. While understand that they were honest and they didn’t have the necessary resources for a child on the spectrum. This became very frustrating as a parent looking for childcare. We Called happy lion and started asking questions Ms Wednesday reassured us of any fears of being rejected because of my daughter being on the spectrum. She was very welcoming and warm. The day that we came in she gave us a tour of the daycare, inside it is very spacious so many different activities to do. My daughter has been going to happy lion For roughly three years. In my honest opinion Ms Wednesday and Staff have taken such a big role in my daughters life they are usually my to go people. If I have questions Ms Wednesday has been such a big support when there is a problem in the daycare that needs to be addressed she’s a very quick to have it resolved by the following day. When we were having money problems she had no problem in helping us, like adjusting payments. A big one for me is that she has given me so much support when it comes to Regional Center, my case manager personally hasn’t really doesn’t give me much support but I am grateful to have Ms Wednesday around to answer any questions that I have. Also the rest of the staff is amazing they are always so open to talk to you, always giving me an update about my daughter throughout the day. Overall Happy Lion child care has been almost a saving grace for my husband and I. Always providing the support that we need also helping my daughter in any way they can. Update: I was on Maternity Leave for several months and kept my daughter home. Today was her first day and she had an “Amazing Time”. My daughter keeps talking about Happy Lion Day Care and can’t wait to return tomorrow. My family loves this child care. Can’t wait till my son is old enough to attend Happy Lion ❤️

My daughter goes here and has for 2 years and she absolutely loves it. Happy lions staff are very hands on they take great care of the children. It’s an inclusive daycare where you have kids with special needs and no special needs.

This was so hard for me to write. I worked there for five months and couldn't take it anymore. I also had a special needs child that attended this center. There are many things that go on behind the doors. There is a teacher there called Candy and along with her two sons are bullies. She came to work high as a kite every day and the owner didn't even notice or cared. I stay as long as I could for the children, but resigned after many situations where my child was being bullied. I can only say good things about two teachers that work there. Tina and Debbie which I trusted with my kids, their hearts are in it. Dont send your kids there

Happy Lion Day Care Center is a cool place. My grand children is currently enrolled. Love the staff. The teachers really care about the students.
