I went to a dinner event for families with special needs members. This function was hosted by Friends Unlimited. Friends Unlimited has free monthly events specifically for our families. I almost felt that I knew these volunteers for years. They are very welcoming and kind. The church itself has Sunday class for our special needs family members. The rest of us get to listen to the sermon while our kids/adults are engaged in a modified bible study, arts and crafts, and games.
Pickleball on Saturdays is a great atmosphere where every level of talent meet up and having a very social and special time. It's more than just playing PB there. Everyone is friendly and helps each other.
Two weeks ago we arrived at Greenridge Church. The welcome was much more than warm. The ministries for our children are fabulous. Yesterday we participated in a great service together with many churches. Our Lord Jesus Christ shows us the way to the almighty father in many ways and for that we are grateful. Thanks to the whole community.
Rented the place for my wedding, regretted it, the liaison, an old witch who was bitter about her life nearly ruined the wedding and reception. Dressed badly and was walking all over the place micro-managing everything and harassing my guests. For some reason, she seem to think I got something for free, kept telling me she goes to church there but she had to pay full price for everything. I only got the place since the former liaison, Katie was really nice when I coordinated my cousin's wedding there. Unfortunately when it was my turn she left and I was left with the old racist witch of the East. If the church cannot do better picking someone who would show Christ-like behavior then that's a bad church. I'm still bitter about how the experience went years later.
They have a really nice banquet hall. The space is really nice. But you have to make sure that your event is not religious or else they really would not rent out the space to you, so beware of that. But everything else, including the lighting they have there is really nice.
