We had our youngest daughter, who was just 3 yrs old at the time, placed in a different daycare/preschool. Our experience there was absolutely horrible, I was searching for a new preschool and came across Green Gable. As soon as we walked into the building I knew we had to switch, the building was clean, bright, open and you can smell the AMAZING food that being cooked for the kids. Since coming to Green Gable in Feb of 2022, we have all been so happy with them! The employees are all professional, kind and fun. The curriculum is most impressive, our daughter comes home and tell us all the things she's learned, from lizards being reptiles to showing us how she can spell her name (all letter/spelling was strictly at school, we never practiced at home). Their communication is great, from events to giving notice of sickness in a class, we always greatly appreciated the notices. As our daughter is now moving into our elementary school, we are so sad to say goodbye. I recommend Green Gable to everyone and wish I knew about them with our first daughter. Green Gable, thank you for taking such good care of our daughter, we will miss you!!
Our daughter has been cared for at Green gables since she was an infant, first at the Northside location and now at this one. They are exceptional at everything they do! The best endorsement I can offer is my daughter has an August birthday, meaning when kindergarten starts she will be young for her class. We wondered how ready she would be, but because of Green Gables we know she’s going to crush it. Her social skills, counting, color identification, and adaptability have all benefited from their care. We love this place!
We had to remove our children from a place we thought we could trust. It was important that we found a new place to keep him safe. The entire staff from the beginning has helped him (and now our other child) feel safe, comfortable and supported. He started taking naps his first week after months of not napping at his prior care facility, he isn’t anxious to go to daycare and is a different kid. I can’t thank the team enough for helping our family make it out the other side of the nightmare that once was.
Our daughter attended Green Gable on 32nd for about a year. We just moved out of state an I am still devastated to have left them! In the beginning it was a very difficult decision for me to enroll my then two year old in daycare— but I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and recovering from surgeries and navigating many doctors appointments. My daughter had never been without me, and even though at first she was scared, her teachers and staff were there for her every step of the way. They took extra time and care to help get her adjusted. Soon my daughter was crying because she didn’t want to leave! The staff are patient, wonderful educators and truly care for children. They have a wonderful sense of humor— my daughter is feisty and they took it in stride. I feel absolutely blessed that my daughter was lucky enough to have her first school experience there. Additionally I consider many of the staff friends and hope to keep in touch for years to come. They were there for my family and I in the hardest moments of our lives. It’s the best money I have ever spent and I truly wish I could pick the place up and move it with me! If you are looking for a safe, clean space for your child where you feel like family this is it.
Our five-year-old son, Calvin, has been at Green Gables since fairly early in the pandemic. While it was hard at first not being able to go into the classroom to get to know the place and its people, I think GG actually has done a marvelous job striking a balance between the coverage needs of its families and the realities of disease transmission throughout the pandemic and beyond. We understand the risks of sharing space, sometimes closely, with dozens of other students and staff, and we understand on occasion that our son, as a result, may bring home a transmissable illness. We would never trade this in however for quality time with peers and competent, attentive, good-humored staff. As we all have gotten to know GG and the community its built, we can confidently recommend it as a childcare facility, both in terms of value and quality. Our 19-month-old daughter ages in next year, and we're counting the days until she enrolls, only partly because of the time it'll free up for us. :) We can't say enough about Green Gables. They keep it simple. They keep it real! Plus if you're nice, Ms. Melissa may share a few of her secret camping spots in Idaho. :) Hoo-rah!
