We started at Chroma in the summer of 2024, and my love for this place continues to grow. The way these folks love on my babies honestly gets me emotional. My son was 2, and my daughter was just 2.5 months old when we enrolled. As a family who had just moved to Georgia with no relatives nearby, finding the right place was absolutely critical. Chroma didn’t have all the bells and whistles like some of the overpriced centers—but what it did have was unmatched love, passion, and genuine care that we simply couldn’t find anywhere else. Within the last year, the new leadership team has made significant improvements to the facility and introduced new standards that really support the “Academy” part of its name. I truly adore all the teachers. They pour so much into these children and deserve the world. Proud to be a Chroma parent.
As a mother juggling co-parenting and being a sole provider, I rely on childcare services to be reliable and considerate. Instead, this daycare added hidden fees, took advantage of the situation, and even threatened to unenroll my child from a GA Lottery-funded Pre-K program meant to support families. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and clear communication is unacceptable. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone looking for ethical and reliable care for their child. They charged without authorization, then charged me unfairly for services I did not request and then threatened to unenroll my child when I questioned the charges. On top of that, their staff failed to communicate critical information to my sitter, causing confusion about my child’s release time from pre-k.
I am writing to you as the parent who attended the Toddler class yesterday, [date of the incident]. I am extremely concerned to report that my daughter experienced a severe allergic reaction while under your care, and we were never contacted — not by phone, email, or through any emergency alert. We only found out at 4:00 p.m. when I went to pick her up. When I asked what she had eaten, the staff appeared confused and took time to find the information, something that is unacceptable in a medical emergency. When I asked how long she had been in that condition, I was told, “about 20 minutes,” with no sense of urgency or clarity. I am seriously concerned about the lack of emergency protocol in situations like this. Is there any internal procedure in place for medical emergencies? What training does the staff have to handle allergic reactions? Why was there no immediate call to 911 or to the parents? My daughter had to be rushed to the hospital, where she received emergency treatment and medication. This could have ended tragically. Let me be very clear: the two teachers assigned to her class were kind and respectful throughout the week, but it is evident that they need support and proper training. I also observed that there were never more than two staff members caring for a large group of children, which is concerning from a safety standpoint. Additionally, I am deeply troubled by the condition of the facilities, which are dirty, disorganized, and the front desk is in complete disorder. This is not the kind of environment where parents should feel comfortable leaving their children.
My son started attending this daycare when he was just a baby up through him being 3.5. This is such a wonderful daycare and I really trusted them with caring for my son. I hated that we moved and we had to switch daycares, but they are so friendly, caring, and loving to the children. We will miss Ms. Maria and all the staff, they were so wonderful to us. I would recommend this daycare because not only are the staff wonderful, but my son learned so much going there and you can tell that the teachers really love the kids. Thank you all for everything!
This place is like our second home! Kacey is learning all of her firsts and I couldn't be happier with her growth since we started coming! She's always so happy when she runs into her classroom and sees her teachers. Her teachers are the sweetest with her and her needs. The staff overall is super communicative and always keeps my family and I updated with her activities and pictures. We love it here.
